A cooler, portable ice chest, ice box, cool box, chilly bin (in New Zealand), or esky (Australia) is an insulated box used to keep food or drink cool.
Ice cubes are most commonly placed in it to help the contents inside stay cool. Ice packs are sometimes used, as they either contain the melting water inside or have a gel sealed inside that stays cold longer than plain ice (absorbing heat as it changes phase).
Coolers are often taken on picnics and on vacation or holidays. When summers are hot, they may also be used just to get cold groceries home from the store, such as keeping ice cream from melting in a sizzling automobile. Even without adding ice, this can be helpful, particularly if the trip home will be lengthy. Some coolers have built-in cupholders in the lid.
They are usually made with interior and exterior shells of plastic, with a hard foam in between. They come in sizes from small personal ones to large family ones with wheels. Disposable ones are made solely from polystyrene foam (such as a disposable coffee cup) about 2 cm or one inch thick. Most reusable ones have molded-in handles; a few have shoulder straps. The cooler has developed from just a means of keeping beverages cold into a mode of transportation with the ride-on cooler. A thermal bag, cooler bag, or cool bag is very similar in concept, but typically smaller and not rigid.
In physical geography, tundra () is a type of biome where tree growth is hindered by frigid temperatures and short growing seasons. There are three regions and associated types of tundra: Arctic tundra, alpine tundra, and Antarctic tundra.
Tundra vegetation is composed of dwarf shrubs, sedges, grasses, mosses, and lichens. Scattered trees grow in some tundra regions. The ecotone (or ecological boundary region) between the tundra and the forest is known as the tree line or timberline. The tundra soil is rich in nitrogen and phosphorus. The soil also contains large amounts of biomass and decomposed biomass that has been stored as methane and carbon dioxide in the permafrost, making the tundra soil a carbon sink. As global warming heats the ecosystem and causes soil thawing, the permafrost carbon cycle accelerates and releases much of these soil-contained greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, creating a feedback cycle that changes climate.

This one is a real crowd pleaser! Its huge & the wheels make it light & the handle is strong! It’s perfect for get togethers, camping, or out on the boat. We’re so happy because theres never enough room in the fridge for drinks. We’ve used it now for overflow fridge space now too, after needing extra space after big grocery trips. We did get a 2lb ice pack also & now I see what the hype is all about. Quality!!! A+ to YETI!

This thing is a beast. The wheels work swimmingly, and it’s so easy to transport. Couldn’t recommend more.

Make sure it fits in your car. Won’t fit in our trunk. I had to buy a roof rack.

Awesome! Follow directions with two 4lb Yeti Ice and sacrificial bag of ice to pre-cool. Ice keeps 3-5 days depending on outside temperature and frequency of opening. The wheels make transportation so much easier. Love all my Yeti products!

Great cooler, sturdy, excellently engineered wheels and handle. One suggestion: there should be a basket available that sits above the ice on the interior rails. The coordinating basket sits on whatever is in the cooler, defeats the purpose. I was told by Yeti Customer Service that the ‘hanging’ basket wouldn’t work when you roll the cooler, but we have another cooler with a basket that does.

Great cooler. I need one I can haul by myself as my wife and kids can’t carry a heavy cooler. Glad yeti made this.

Love our Yeti. We have owned several coolers over the years and this one by far is the BEST!
