Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The term blue generally describes colours perceived by humans observing light with a dominant wavelength that's between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Most blues contain a slight mixture of other colours; azure contains some green, while ultramarine contains some violet. The clear daytime sky and the deep sea appear blue because of an optical effect known as Rayleigh scattering. An optical effect called the Tyndall effect explains blue eyes. Distant objects appear more blue because of another optical effect called aerial perspective.
Blue has been an important colour in art and decoration since ancient times. The semi-precious stone lapis lazuli was used in ancient Egypt for jewellery and ornament and later, in the Renaissance, to make the pigment ultramarine, the most expensive of all pigments. In the eighth century Chinese artists used cobalt blue to colour fine blue and white porcelain. In the Middle Ages, European artists used it in the windows of cathedrals. Europeans wore clothing coloured with the vegetable dye woad until it was replaced by the finer indigo from America. In the 19th century, synthetic blue dyes and pigments gradually replaced organic dyes and mineral pigments. Dark blue became a common colour for military uniforms and later, in the late 20th century, for business suits. Because blue has commonly been associated with harmony, it was chosen as the colour of the flags of the United Nations and the European Union.
In the United States and Europe, blue is the colour that both men and women are most likely to choose as their favourite, with at least one recent survey showing the same across several other countries, including China, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Past surveys in the US and Europe have found that blue is the colour most commonly associated with harmony, confidence, masculinity, knowledge, intelligence, calmness, distance, infinity, the imagination, cold, and sadness.

We bought this a couple weeks ago. The curbside pickup at Dick’s went smoothly and the setup was fairly straightforward. It took about three hours. Biggest challenge was getting the very heavy, large box into our basement. We’ve used the elliptical about 8 times and not had any issues. Love that it has automatic incline adjustment. Some of the models we were considering had manual adjustment. I like being able to change it during the workout. The pre-loaded programs are good although I haven’t tried them all. And the machine is super quiet. Really the only thing I’d change would be to have the fan tilt down further. They must’ve only tested on super tall people!

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and am very happy with the machine. My husband put it together and it took him about 2.5 hours. The machine is very smooth and feels solid when using. I like the display and the features such as the display and pre-programed workouts. I also like the tablet holder which has a place to charge as well. My only complaint is that it started making a squeaking sound about 2 weeks in. We have put the lubricant on the mechanicals, but it continues to squeak when at zero incline. The noise goes away when it is above a 2-3 incline. Other than that, it is a great machine and I would purchase it again.

I got this elliptical delivered and set up through the retailer. It is a good workout. There are a few things I think could be improved such as the User interface. Sole offers User 1 and User 2 which is great; however, once you store the initial information on said User it stops there. There is no additional information available regarding my work out. If I chose to use the manual option, then when I’m done I receive detailed information about my workout. This just seems backwards to me. Overall this is a nice piece of equipment that offers me the workout I need. It is very sturdy and I think it is going to last a long time.

Fairly easy to assemble. took me a few hours by myself. help from someone else is recommended for some tricky parts.
The incline didn’t work at first, but finding the little sentence on the bottom of one page told me how to calibrate it. works great now.
The speakers barely overcome the noisy fan. you probably only want one or the other on at any time (or use earbuds).
Those are my only complaints after having it for a month…
I am a bit overweight and in my late 50s and needed a way to get some cardio as all i do is sit at a desk all day.
I found it easy to program and can adjust it from too easy to way too tough (for me). I look forward to using it whenever I can, which is for 30 minutes between 3 to 4 days a week.
