A house is a single-unit residential building. It may range in complexity from a rudimentary hut to a complex structure of wood, masonry, concrete or other material, outfitted with plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Houses use a range of different roofing systems to keep precipitation such as rain from getting into the dwelling space. Houses generally have doors or locks to secure the dwelling space and protect its inhabitants and contents from burglars or other trespassers. Most conventional modern houses in Western cultures will contain one or more bedrooms and bathrooms, a kitchen or cooking area, and a living room. A house may have a separate dining room, or the eating area may be integrated into the kitchen or another room. Some large houses in North America have a recreation room. In traditional agriculture-oriented societies, domestic animals such as chickens or larger livestock (like cattle) may share part of the house with humans.

The social unit that lives in a house is known as a household. Most commonly, a household is a family unit of some kind, although households may also have other social groups, such as roommates or, in a rooming house, unconnected individuals, that typically use a house as their home. Some houses only have a dwelling space for one family or similar-sized group; larger houses called townhouses or row houses may contain numerous family dwellings in the same structure. A house may be accompanied by outbuildings, such as a garage for vehicles or a shed for gardening equipment and tools. A house may have a backyard, a front yard or both, which serve as additional areas where inhabitants can relax, eat, or exercise.

In electrical engineering, a switch is an electrical component that can disconnect or connect the conducting path in an electrical circuit, interrupting the electric current or diverting it from one conductor to another. The most common type of switch is an electromechanical device consisting of one or more sets of movable electrical contacts connected to external circuits. When a pair of contacts is touching current can pass between them, while when the contacts are separated no current can flow.

Switches are made in many different configurations; they may have multiple sets of contacts controlled by the same knob or actuator, and the contacts may operate simultaneously, sequentially, or alternately. A switch may be operated manually, for example, a light switch or a keyboard button, or may function as a sensing element to sense the position of a machine part, liquid level, pressure, or temperature, such as a thermostat. Many specialized forms exist, such as the toggle switch, rotary switch, mercury switch, push-button switch, reversing switch, relay, and circuit breaker. A common use is control of lighting, where multiple switches may be wired into one circuit to allow convenient control of light fixtures. Switches in high-powered circuits must have special construction to prevent destructive arcing when they are opened.

The watt (symbol: W) is the unit of power or radiant flux in the International System of Units (SI), equal to 1 joule per second or 1 kg⋅m2⋅s−3. It is used to quantify the rate of energy transfer. The watt is named in honor of James Watt (1736–1819), an 18th-century Scottish inventor, mechanical engineer, and chemist who improved the Newcomen engine with his own steam engine in 1776. Watt's invention was fundamental for the Industrial Revolution.

I gave it a 4 star because I haven’t had to use the services yet. The installation process was done very professionally and in a timely manner. Had an issue with initial startup of the generator but got everything going smoothly. I did find the wifi connections a little difficult but finally got it connected later the next day. I would recommend Generac to anyone.

Total Power Solutions installed ours in 2 days. Didn’t have to wait for months like the bigger dealers. Runs our 2000sq ft house completely. Looks great. Feel secure knowing we are protected from power outages. The houses now depend on wifi and even medical equipment. We live in a hurricane area and get freezes too. Glad we got this.

We have had our 24kW Guardian unit for just over one year now. We reside in Houston, TX area and are thus exposed to hurricanes, tropical storms, and even winter freezes. Each of these weather events can disrupt power, for a few hours to a few days, or more. I have an 87 year old mother-in-law that lives in a home just over a mile from us. Thus, our decision for backup power was as much for her as for ourselves. Our unit runs our entire 3,100 sq.ft. home, including a 5-ton AC, and a pool. Shock Doc Electrical in League City was referred by Generac and they did an excellent job on the installation. Worth every penny for the peace of mind!

I would also like to thank R3 Hardware Honesdale Pa and its employees. They have been tremendous throughout the entire process. They are knowledgeable, efficient, professional and extremely helpful and friendly!!! I would also like to add a special mention to Beth for coordination, scheduling and Walter for the installation!!!! They were both amazing and made this a very enjoyable experience!!!
