The mule is a domestic equine hybrid between a donkey and a horse. It is the offspring of a male donkey (a jack) and a female horse (a mare). The horse and the donkey are different species, with different numbers of chromosomes; of the two possible first-generation hybrids between them, the mule is easier to obtain and more common than the hinny, which is the offspring of a male horse (a stallion) and a female donkey (a jenny).
Mules vary widely in size, and may be of any color seen in horses or donkeys. They are more patient, hardier and longer-lived than horses, and are perceived as less obstinate and more intelligent than donkeys.: 5

LOVE THESE! I am a 7.5 and I purchased size 8 and they fit perfectly. So size up if you are between sizes. You can wear these out on the street, but I take such good care of them and I only wear them in the house. They are so comfortable and so cute. They look like little pockets of down on the shoe. I bought these because I saw Kendall Jenner wearing them and I’m glad I did. Don’t hate me!

I have hardly taken these off since I received them. Size is true, they are so comfortable and warm. I literally take them off to shower and sleep, they are that awesome!
