A gift or present is an item given to someone without the expectation of payment or anything in return. An item is not a gift if it is already owned by the recipient. Although gift-giving might involve an expectation of reciprocity, a gift is intended to be free. In many countries, the act of mutually exchanging money, goods, etc., may sustain social relationships and contribute to social cohesion. Economists have elaborated the economics of gift-giving into the notion of a gift economy. By extension, the term gift can refer to any item or act of service that makes the other happier or less sad, especially as a favor, including forgiveness and kindness. Gifts are often presented on occasions such as birthdays and holidays.

Lover or lovers may refer to a person having a sexual or romantic relationship with someone outside marriage. In this context see:

  • Sexual partner
  • Mistress
  • Premarital sex
  • Extramarital sex

Lover or Lovers may also refer to:

S, or for lowercase, s, is the nineteenth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and other latin alphabets worldwide. Its name in English is ess (pronounced ), plural esses.

Wine is an alcoholic drink made from fermented fruit. Yeast consumes the sugar in the fruit and converts it to ethanol and carbon dioxide, releasing heat in the process. Wine is most often made from grapes, and the term "wine" generally refers to grape wine when used without any qualification. Even so, wine can be made from a variety of fruit crops, including plum, cherry, pomegranate, blueberry, currant, and elderberry.

Different varieties of grapes and strains of yeasts are major factors in different styles of wine. These differences result from the complex interactions between the biochemical development of the grape, the reactions involved in fermentation, the grape's growing environment (terroir), and the wine production process. Many countries enact legal appellations intended to define styles and qualities of wine. These typically restrict the geographical origin and permitted varieties of grapes, as well as other aspects of wine production.

Wine has been produced for thousands of years. The earliest evidence of wine is from the present-day Georgia (6000 BCE), Persia (5000 BCE), Italy, and Armenia (4000 BCE). New World wine has some connection to alcoholic beverages made by the indigenous peoples of the Americas but is mainly connected to later Spanish traditions in New Spain. Later, as Old World wine further developed viticulture techniques, Europe would encompass three of the largest wine-producing regions. Based on statistics gathered by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine in 2022 the top five wine producing countries are Italy, France, Spain, the United States, and Australia.

Wine has long played an important role in religion. Red wine was associated with blood by the ancient Egyptians, and was used by both the Greek cult of Dionysus and the Romans in their Bacchanalia; Judaism also incorporates it in the Kiddush, and Christianity in the Eucharist. Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Israeli wine cultures are still connected to these ancient roots. Similarly the largest wine regions in Italy, Spain, and France have heritages in connection to sacramental wine, likewise, viticulture traditions in the Southwestern United States started within New Spain as Catholic friars and monks first produced wines in New Mexico and California.

I just received this WONDERFUL basket from a friend and co-worker. I have seen MANY gift baskets before but this one blows away anything I have ever seen. My entire office was talking it about it. This is the only place I will get a like this to send to anyone. you have to see it to believe how wonderful it is.

I sent this to my brother in DC for an office party .I ordered it later than I should have but I was assured it would arrive on time for the party … and it DID! My brother and his employees were very impressed with the wine and contents of basket. I will definitely order again. Thank you helping me bring some Holiday Cheer in these extremely difficult times !

I purchased this on behalf of my company for a Sympathy gift. The recipient loved the quality of the items. But even more so, thought it was perfect because during these times, one often doesn’t have an appetite for big meals often given by neighbors and friends. The items were great to have something to eat, when they were not wanting big amounts of food.

I had this sent to a family member and had the opportunity to see the gift first hand. I was very impressed with the case/ 3 bottles of wine and snacks that I chose. The case only was beautiful soft black leather and something they can use over and over again. Thank you so much.

I purchased 5 gift baskets for a few of my accounts. They were opening up their 100th location and I wanted to send them something. They arrived right when they said they would and I even got a call from an account executive checking up on delivery. Great Service!

A close friend passed away and I needed to send a large wine gift basket rather quickly. Using the chat feature, a very knowledgeable employee was able to identify the best basket for my needs and it arrived less than 24 hours after ordering.

I did not see this basket as I was not the recipient but I did hear from her and she said that it was HUGE! I’m sure it was absolutely terrific in person! The ordering process was very easy and it was all executed flawlessly:)
