1 (one, unit, unity) is a number, numeral, and glyph. It is the first and smallest positive integer of the infinite sequence of natural numbers. This fundamental property has led to its unique uses in other fields, ranging from science to sports, where it commonly denotes the first, leading, or top thing in a group. 1 is the unit of counting or measurement, a determiner for singular nouns, and a gender-neutral pronoun. Historically, the representation of 1 evolved from ancient Sumerian and Babylonian symbols to the modern Arabic numeral.

In mathematics, 1 is the multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number. In digital technology, 1 represents the "on" state in binary code, the foundation of computing. Philosophically, 1 symbolizes the ultimate reality or source of existence in various traditions.

Sixteen or 16 may refer to:

A blender (sometimes called a mixer or liquidiser in British English) is a kitchen and laboratory appliance used to mix, crush, purée or emulsify food and other substances. A stationary blender consists of a blender container with a rotating metal or plastic blade at the bottom, powered by an electric motor that is in the base. Some powerful models can also crush ice and other frozen foods. The newer immersion blender configuration has a motor on top connected by a shaft to a rotating blade at the bottom, which can be used with any container.

A container is any receptacle or enclosure for holding a product used in storage, packaging, and transportation, including shipping. Things kept inside of a container are protected on several sides by being inside of its structure. The term is most frequently applied to devices made from materials that are durable and are often partly or completely rigid.

A container can also be considered as a basic tool, consisting of any device creating a partially or fully enclosed space that can be used to contain, store, and transport objects or materials.

Dry or dryness most often refers to:

  • Lack of rainfall, which may refer to
    • Arid regions
    • Drought
  • Dry or dry area, relating to legal prohibition of selling, serving, or imbibing alcoholic beverages
  • Dry humor, deadpan
  • Dryness (medical)
  • Dryness (taste), the lack of sugar in a drink, especially an alcoholic one
  • Dry direct sound without reverberation

Dry or DRY may also refer to:

In kinematics, the speed (commonly referred to as v) of an object is the magnitude of the change of its position over time or the magnitude of the change of its position per unit of time; it is thus a non-negative scalar quantity. The average speed of an object in an interval of time is the distance travelled by the object divided by the duration of the interval; the instantaneous speed is the limit of the average speed as the duration of the time interval approaches zero. Speed is the magnitude of velocity (a vector), which indicates additionally the direction of motion.

Speed has the dimensions of distance divided by time. The SI unit of speed is the metre per second (m/s), but the most common unit of speed in everyday usage is the kilometre per hour (km/h) or, in the US and the UK, miles per hour (mph). For air and marine travel, the knot is commonly used.

The fastest possible speed at which energy or information can travel, according to special relativity, is the speed of light in vacuum c = 299792458 metres per second (approximately 1079000000 km/h or 671000000 mph). Matter cannot quite reach the speed of light, as this would require an infinite amount of energy. In relativity physics, the concept of rapidity replaces the classical idea of speed.

Variable may refer to:

  • Variable (computer science), a symbolic name associated with a value and whose associated value may be changed
  • Variable (mathematics), a symbol that represents a quantity in a mathematical expression, as used in many sciences
  • Variable (research), a logical set of attributes
  • Variable star, a type of astronomical star
  • "The Variable", an episode of the television series Lost

I had been debating for a long time whether a Vitamix would be a good investment for just two people. The TSV price convinced me to give it a try and I am so glad I took the opportunity to order one. It is true that the Vitamix comes with a booklet that contains very few recipes, but, as a novice, I thought it was a good idea to start small, anyway! Now the amazing part: I had some questions that popped up as I was using it to make the recipe for corn soup, so I called Vitamix’s customer service number. A real live human being answered right away and not only answered my original question, but helped me with the questions that came up during the conversation. Tim in Customer Service: you’re the best! I am happily Vitamixing. Check out the prices elsewhere. Even without the TSV price, this is terrific!

I have been on the fence for years debating with myself to purchase a VitaMix. In the meantime I purchased all the less expensive big box store blenders that are now in the small appliance cemetery. When it became a TSV, I finally took the plunge and I love it! It takes some finagling but I am getting the hang of it. I purchased smoothies from a national chain weekly but because of food sensitivities, I am confined to only a few menu items. Being a creative foodie at heart, I love playing around with my own ingredients and coming up with surprisingly great drinks. I’m also able to make custom nut butters and soups. I figure with the money wasted on those other “super” blenders and weekly industrial packaged smoothies, I would have paid for the VitaMix.

I ordered the Sandstone and besides being newest color offered it is so gorgeous and sleek. It’s a stone cold light grey. It goes perfectly with the newest kitchens out there. The value on this deal is amazing. Vitamix alone is $350 everywhere else. TSV was $299.95 with the added dry grains container included ($144) value. As for this machine. It is top of the line. Perfect for two people. I’ve made broccoli cheese soup- luscious and creamy. The potato bacon cheese soup is amazing. Hummus tastes exactly like Sabra. Going Green smoothie tastes exactly like Smoothie King at a fraction of the cost. I leave mine on counter because we use it daily and it’s so clean and classy looking. Next we try peanut butter and homemade breadcrumbs and flour for breads. Only problem I had was trying to make frozen deserts. Will try again! Love this Vitamix. Fits under counter which is perfect for daily use. Thank you QVC for such a great deal for your customers! Highly recommend buy and try and you will love it too! Time to get healthier at home!

I do wish people would state what color they purchased and describe it hence my sandstone it is a nice pale beige/grey I wanted a color that would match other countertop appliances I have a cinnamon kitchenaid blender, all others are black appliances with stainless steel major appliances. This color is perfect not too bold even though it is different than the others. Just Recieved the blender today! Shipping was fairly fast item seems good did notice small scratches on the rubber part where container fits which I thought odd being new hopefully it won’t look too bad in a few years of use. I’ve not actually used the vitamix yet I am excited about doing so although recipe book does not have many to pick from I do know online should have plenty oh!! One thing I’m concerned about is the knob to adjust speed seems cheaply made I hope it will hold up! Time will tell. I will post another comment after I use the item ! Pleased so far!! One excited New Vitamix owner

I ordered the Vitamix Todays Special Value in Lemon Cream. Lemons are yellow and when I received my Vitamix it was definitely orange and not yellow at all. They should have called it orange cream.

I ordered on Sunday; received on Thursday. I made the broccoli and cheese soup for the first try, and it turned out well. There was no chunks left, the machine stops at 8 minutes (I timed it), mine didn’t seem to move, but it is very loud. I’m very disappointed in the “recipe” book, as there’s not much for recipes enough to say so. I had to go to the website to find what I wanted. If you’re paying more than $200 for this you’re paying too much. I wouldn’t pay the normal price for it. I got it as a TSV. I got black.
