A bra, short for brassiere or brassière (US: , UK: ; French: [bʁasjɛʁ]), is a form-fitting underwear that is primarily used to support and cover a woman's breasts. A typical bra consists of a chest band that wraps around the torso, supporting two breast cups that are held in place by shoulder straps. A bra usually fastens in the back, using a hook and eye fastener, although bras are available in a large range of styles and sizes, including front-fastening and backless designs. Some bras are designed for specific functions, such as nursing bras to facilitate breastfeeding or sports bras to minimize discomfort during exercise.

Although women in ancient Greece and Rome wore garments to support their breasts, the first modern bra is attributed to 19-year-old Mary Phelps Jacob who created the garment in 1913 by using two handkerchiefs and some ribbon. After patenting her design in 1914, she briefly manufactured bras at a two-woman factory in Boston, Massachusetts before selling her patent to the Warner Brothers Corset Company, which began mass-producing the garment. The bra gained widespread adoption during the first half of the twentieth century, when it largely replaced the corset. The majority of Western women today wear bras, with a minority choosing to go braless. Bra manufacturing and retailing are key components of the multi-billion-dollar global lingerie industry.

A cup is an open-top container used to hold liquids for pouring or drinking. Although mainly used for drinking, it also can be used to store solids for pouring (e.g., sugar, flour, grains, salt). Cups may be made of glass, metal, china, pottery, wood, stone, bone, polystyrene, plastic, aluminum, or other materials. They are also usually fixed with stems, handles, or other adornments, though a beaker has no handle or stem. Cups are used for quenching thirst across a wide range of cultures and social classes. Cups of different styles may be used for different types of liquids or other foodstuffs (e.g. teacups and measuring cups), in different situations (e.g. at water stations or in ceremonies and rituals), or for decoration. The word "cup" is also used as a unit of capacity: the capacity of a "typical" cup, varying slightly from place to place.

Full may refer to:

  • A property in the mathematical field of topology; see Full set
  • A property of functors in the mathematical field of category theory; see Full and faithful functors

A strap, sometimes also called strop, is an elongated flap or ribbon, usually of leather or other flexible materials.

Thin straps are used as part of clothing or baggage, or bedding such as a sleeping bag. See for example spaghetti strap, shoulder strap. A strap differs from a belt mainly in that a strap is usually integral to the item of clothing; either can be used in combination with buckles.

Straps are also used as fasteners to attach, secure, carry, or bind items, to objects, animals (for example a saddle on a horse) and people (for example a watch on a wrist), or even to tie down people and animals, as on an apparatus for corporal punishment. Occasionally a strap is specified after what it binds or holds, e.g. chin strap. Webbing is a particular type of strap that is a strong fabric woven as a flat strip or tube that is also often used in place of rope. Modern webbing is typically made from exceptionally high-strength material and is used in automobile seat belts, furniture manufacturing, transportation, towing, military uniform, cargo fasteners, and many other fields.

True most commonly refers to truth, the state of being in congruence with fact or reality.

Loved this bra so much I just now ordered 3 other colors which makes a total of 4. The lift is wonderful and the fit and comfort are off the rails. Love everything about this bra. I have bought a lot of other brands of this type of bra at Nordstrom’s but this seems to be my favorite one for all the right reasons. It washes well too. I put my bra in a mesh lingerie bag and washed it on delicate, hang to dry. Looks perfect. I highly recommend this bra, you won’t be sorry and like me you may just order several other colors. I just now purchased black, pink & mink. My first one was the Dulce. All gorgeous colors for summer and fall. Win/Win

This is so soft and comfortable. It’s easy to get on even with broad shoulders and still stays in place. Also gives good coverage but without being visible. I just ordered 2 more.

The fit is very smooth, light as well as supportive. It’s more comfortable than a sports bra and more flattering fit

I received this for my daughter and she loves it. She loves the fabric and the support she gets. She wears it every day and wants more in multiple colors. She likes that it has pads over her chest instead of it being all thin. She does like the thinness of it since it gets really hot where we live. She definitely wants more and we recommend.
