Black is a color that results from the absence or complete absorption of visible light. It is an achromatic color, without hue, like white and grey. It is often used symbolically or figuratively to represent darkness. Black and white have often been used to describe opposites such as good and evil, the Dark Ages versus the Age of Enlightenment, and night versus day. Since the Middle Ages, black has been the symbolic color of solemnity and authority, and for this reason it is still commonly worn by judges and magistrates.

Black was one of the first colors used by artists in Neolithic cave paintings. It was used in ancient Egypt and Greece as the color of the underworld. In the Roman Empire, it became the color of mourning, and over the centuries it was frequently associated with death, evil, witches, and magic. In the 14th century, it was worn by royalty, clergy, judges, and government officials in much of Europe. It became the color worn by English romantic poets, businessmen and statesmen in the 19th century, and a high fashion color in the 20th century. According to surveys in Europe and North America, it is the color most commonly associated with mourning, the end, secrets, magic, force, violence, fear, evil, and elegance.

Black is the most common ink color used for printing books, newspapers and documents, as it provides the highest contrast with white paper and thus is the easiest color to read. Similarly, black text on a white screen is the most common format used on computer screens. As of September 2019, the darkest material is made by MIT engineers from vertically aligned carbon nanotubes.

The is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. The is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers.

These were extremely comfortable pants. I am not a feminine woman and needed something for an outdoor wedding at a beautiful vineyard.

The breeze came up the legs and I swear it must have been like wearing a dress!

Pants look hot &/or profesh. But wrinkles develop in the front waist along the pleats throughout the day.

I am in-between size small and Medium and bought a size Med. Kind of loose on me but that was what i expected to give some wiggle room and nothing a belt can’t help with.

The fabric feels great. The look is very tailored fitted at the waist with the pleats. Love the length not too long for my height. Fit is not too oversize at the leg. Very chic for the summer.

These pants are so lovely looking and fit so well but unfortunately they do wrinkle fairly easily. I got the lightest color so that makes it more noticeable but honestly I still love them and would probably get another pair in a different color. I’m also glad I got the shorter length because they don’t drag.

Love the fit, the style, the cut, and versatility. I bought 2 black (one to wear with flats & one longer to wear with heels), and the camel color. I’m 5’5, 120lbs, 26” waist, 38” hips and got the size 0. They fit just right, not too fitted so they feel more like you stole your husbands pants. Such a classic pair!

Very comfy and oh so flattering. Just love these. I’m 5 ft 6 and the shorter length still needs a little alteration but kinda in love with these regardless!
