A suitcase is a form of baggage. It is a rectangular container with a handle and is typically used to carry one's clothes and other belongings while traveling. The first suitcases appeared in the late 19th century due to the increased popularity of mass tourism at the time and were meant to hold dress suits. They were originally made using heavier materials such as leather or steel, but, beginning in the 1930s, were constructed with more lightweight materials like plastic and cardboard.

Before the 1970s, the idea of rolling luggage was shunned by the travel industry, who viewed it as much less masculine than traditional luggage. American entrepreneur Bernard Sadow pitched his version of the wheeled suitcase, for which he was granted a patent in 1972, to various department stores before it was picked up and sold at Macy's stores starting in 1970. It took several years to become the predominant form of suitcase, and Sadow's version was soon superseded by the Rollaboard, a type of wheeled suitcase that was upright rather than flat like Sadow's model and invented in 1987 by American pilot Robert Plath. The addition of wheels to the suitcase has since been called one of the most significant innovations in travel.

Smart suitcases with enhanced capabilities such as GPS tracking and device charging were popularized in the 2010s, though explosions of their lithium ion batteries in cargo holds caused them to be banned from being checked by many major airlines in the late 2010s.

The is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. I purchased the white Bigger Carry-On with a black Everywhere bag. Then my husband purchased a navy Bigger Carry-On with a navy Everywhere bag. We both love the luggage ~ it makes traveling for us Seniors so much easier. The Everywhere bag just sits on top like it should ~ so easy ~ I don’t even carry a handbag ~ I pack it away to bring out later.Read more about review stating Great Carry-On I just gave away my old (1980’s) luggage!

I heard all the hype and decided with 100 days to try or my money back, why not? I had our vacation planned and I needed a new carry-on since the last one we owned my husband let a friend borrow it and we’re still waiting for it to be returned 10 years later. When the luggage came I was not disappointed! The luggage is well made and makes packing a breeze even for an over packer like me! There’s plenty of room. I also ordered one for our son, who loved the bag! It’s the perfect size for him and all of his stuff, i.e., clothes, toys & books. He packed and unpacked for days leading up to our vacation. When I thought the luggage may not come in time, customer service did not disappoint! If you need new luggage, just try it! It won’t disappoint!

All righty, the first time I heard about this suit case brand was on Public Radio a interview with the founder on how the company bargain. Then while researching traveling the ad bots. Started to send me ads on this suit case. I finally caved to the pressure and bought the suit case (I have never paid full price). It arrived beautifully packaged. Read more about review stating Put to the test my bigger carry on!I loved the thoughtful little touches that Away included from of cool little bag to hold the cords and adaptors to the pamphlet shaped like a passport.
I left for a 20 day trip to Italy… now it was time to see if this suitcases beauty was more than skin deep.
Well she is a pretty amazing bag! I Rolled her through many airports, sent her underneath to hang out with the much larger and heaver luggage. Claimed her put her on a bus, dragged her through Rome and Florences cobble stone streets (hours worth) she jumped on trains with me. Road in taxi’s and was happy to be carried up and down many stairs and floors to arrive at our Accommodations.
She handled it all with grace, strength and agility!

I absolutely love the this piece, it’s light weight, fits perfectly in the overhead compartment of the airplane, and especially the battery charger! What a “game changer” when traveling, not having to look for electrical outlets at a airport 😁
