A box (plural: boxes) is a container with rigid sides used for the storage or transportation of its contents. Most boxes have flat, parallel, rectangular sides (typically rectangular prisms). Boxes can be very small (like a matchbox) or very large (like a shipping box for furniture) and can be used for a variety of purposes, from functional to decorative.
Boxes may be made of a variety of materials, both durable (such as wood and metal) and non-durable (such as corrugated fiberboard and paperboard). Corrugated metal boxes are commonly used as shipping containers.
Boxes may be closed and shut with flaps, doors, or a separate lid. They can be secured shut with adhesives, tapes, string, or more decorative or elaborately functional mechanisms, such as catches, clasps or locks.
Clear may refer to:
- Transparency, the physical property of allowing light to pass through
Sterilite Corporation is an American manufacturer of plastic storage containers. The company was founded by Saul and Edward Stone and Earl Tupper in 1939.
Titanium is a chemical element; it has symbol Ti and atomic number 22. Found in nature only as an oxide, it can be reduced to produce a lustrous transition metal with a silver color, low density, and high strength, resistant to corrosion in sea water, aqua regia, and chlorine.
Titanium was discovered in Cornwall, Great Britain, by William Gregor in 1791 and was named by Martin Heinrich Klaproth after the Titans of Greek mythology. The element occurs within a number of minerals, principally rutile and ilmenite, which are widely distributed in the Earth's crust and lithosphere; it is found in almost all living things, as well as bodies of water, rocks, and soils. The metal is extracted from its principal mineral ores by the Kroll and Hunter processes. The most common compound, titanium dioxide, is a popular photocatalyst and is used in the manufacture of white pigments. Other compounds include titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4), a component of smoke screens and catalysts; and titanium trichloride (TiCl3), which is used as a catalyst in the production of polypropylene.
Titanium can be alloyed with iron, aluminium, vanadium, and molybdenum, among other elements. The resulting titanium alloys are strong, lightweight, and versatile, with applications including aerospace (jet engines, missiles, and spacecraft), military, industrial processes (chemicals and petrochemicals, desalination plants, pulp, and paper), automotive, agriculture (farming), sporting goods, jewelry, and consumer electronics. Titanium is also considered one of the most biocompatible metals, leading to a range of medical applications including prostheses, orthopedic implants, dental implants, and surgical instruments.
The two most useful properties of the metal are corrosion resistance and strength-to-density ratio, the highest of any metallic element. In its unalloyed condition, titanium is as strong as some steels, but less dense. There are two allotropic forms and five naturally occurring isotopes of this element, 46Ti through 50Ti, with 48Ti being the most abundant (73.8%).

I ordered these for storage. They are durable and I liked that they were clear so I could tell what was packed in them at a later date. I must also say…one of the containers arrived damaged in transit. I contacted Walmart, and within 2 days had a credit in my bank for the one container that was damaged…no hassles, no returns, no calls, follow ups, etc. Not only was this purchase great in price, but it arrived quickly and their customer service resolved my issue IMMEDIATELY!!! That’s why I shop here for most of my needs, and will continue to do so.

I searched the internet extensively for the largest clear bins for garage storage–these were by far the largest, least expensive and best value. I was not disappointed in any way.

Love that these bins are slightly see through so you can see what’s inside with out opening each one.

As so many other reviewers have stated, the boxes I ordered were badly damaged during shipping. See photo’s. I would think with so many complaints about this that Walmart would learn to package them better, but apparently not. Aside from that the boxes are very nice.

I’m in the process of combining effects from three different households, and these containers have helped me get like things together. Keep in mind they are very large, and if you use them, be sure you have plenty of space to store them. My only criticism is that the lids come off too easily — it’s important to carry them by the ledges on the side rather than up where the lids attach.

I had these shipped to my house but the box was very flimsy (Sterilite’s responsibility). The bottom bin in the box was damaged in the corner probably from throwing the box in shipping. This was the second set of these bins that I ordered and each had the same problem. Yes, I returned them to the store (a real pain because the package was big and bulky). I would suggest that if you buy these bins in multiples, have them sent to Site to Store so you can check for damage before bringing them home. My mistake, I had them delivered to my house, then lugging them back to the store was very annoying, BOTH orders! If they were undamaged, I would have been very happy.
