A bassinet, bassinette, or cradle is a bed specifically for babies from birth to about four months. Bassinets are generally designed to work with fixed legs or caster wheels, while cradles are generally designed to provide a rocking or gliding motion. Bassinets and cradles are distinguished from Moses baskets and carry cots, which are designed to be carried and sit directly on the floor or furniture. After four months, babies are often transferred to a crib (American usage) or cot (UK usage). Well, baby is one week old. I can say that with this baby being our seventh child, the Snoo is the best baby sleeping item we have ever purchased.
We have tried all the things you can imagine to promote safe sleep for our children. Nothing has ever worked as well at letting us and baby get rest throughout the 4th trimester as they say.
I wish the Snoo had been available 14 years ago when our first was an infant.
Worth every penny and would likely save numerous marriages if every family with an infant could have a Snoo in their life.
