2020 (MMXX) was a leap year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2020th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 20th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 1st year of the 2020s decade.
The year 2020 was heavily defined by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to global social and economic disruption, mass cancellations and postponements of events, worldwide lockdowns, and the largest economic recession since the Great Depression in the 1930s. 2020 is also notable for the murder of George Floyd by police that lead to worldwide protests and unrest. Geospatial World also called 2020 "the worst year in terms of climate change" in part due to major climate disasters worldwide, including major bushfires in Australia and the western United States, as well as extreme tropical cyclone activity affecting large parts of North America. A United Nations progress report published in December 2020 indicated that none of the international Sustainable Development Goals for 2020 were achieved. Time magazine used its sixth ever X cover to declare 2020 "the worst year ever," although the cover article itself did not go as far, instead saying, "There have been worse years in U.S. history, and certainly worse years in world history, but most of us alive today have seen nothing like this one." The Golden Raspberry Awards also awarded the year the Special Governor's Award for The Worst Calendar Year EVER! at their 41st ceremony.

Samsung Group (Korean: 삼성; Hanja: 三星; RR: samseong [samsʌŋ]; stylised as SΛMSUNG) is a South Korean multinational manufacturing conglomerate headquartered in the Samsung Town office complex in Seoul. The group consists of numerous affiliated businesses, most of which operate under the Samsung brand, and is the largest chaebol (business conglomerate) in South Korea. As of 2024, Samsung has the world's fifth-highest brand value.
Founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul as a trading company, Samsung diversified into various sectors, including food processing, textiles, insurance, securities, and retail, over the next three decades. In the late 1960s, Samsung entered the electronics industry, followed by the construction and shipbuilding sectors in the mid-1970s—areas that would fuel its future growth. After Lee died in 1987, Samsung was divided into five business groups: Samsung Group, Shinsegae Group, CJ Group, Hansol Group, and JoongAng Group.
Key affiliates of Samsung include Samsung Electronics, the world's largest information technology company, consumer electronics maker and chipmaker by 2017 revenues; Samsung Heavy Industries, the world's second-largest shipbuilder by 2010 revenues; and Samsung Engineering and Samsung C&T Corporation, ranked 13th and 36th among global construction companies, respectively. Other significant subsidiaries are Samsung Life Insurance, the 14th-largest life insurance company globally, Samsung Everland, operator of Everland Resort (South Korea's oldest theme park), and Cheil Worldwide, the world's 15th-largest advertising agency by 2012 revenues.

i have a 2012 58″ samsung plasma and looked at oled and qled 4k for a year. i read 100 reviews, went to best buy a dozen times and finally bought. first thing i watched planet earth in 4k side by side and the video quality is the same, or plasma is slightly better. i do like this tv and i am going to keep it, but if you are lamenting what to do with your plasma keep it as long as you can.
i like the apps right on the tv, tizen, simplicity of the remote (was using harmony but couldn’t control fire stick), larger screen size, and modern frame.
i hung it on the wall with a sanus slim mount which was a pain, i own 2 samsung frames and don’t understand why this tv doesn’t come with the same mount with oneconnect which i love.

Had this TV now for about 6 months now. I have to say that we are pleased with its performance so far.
There is a lot packed into this Model such as free TV, Fitness programs, ambience mode just to name a few. Still discovering things that can be done. From the size of the instruction manual it will be a while till I can tap into this tv’s full potential.
My reason for the four star rating is the lack of 4k viewing material outside of disks and no 8k material as of yet to see the true performance potential.

amazing display, with true 8k. it was a pain finding the right type of screws to use for my mount, but once it was plugged in, the set up was seamless through my note 10.
comes pre-installed with netflix, hulu, disney+, prime, youtube and a lot of others. i kinda feel like my apple tv is redundant.
cannot wait to fire up the ps5 on this

We upgraded from a 4K to an 8K for our living room. TV is so light weight and looks fabulous above our fireplace. Still learning all the options available on this TV to use. One feature i really like is the sound automatically increases if there is loud noises like our dog barking so i have less chances to miss something.
Only reason i don’t give it a five is there is not a number pad to type in the channel we want to watch.
