A bag (also known regionally as a sack) is a common tool in the form of a non-rigid container, typically made of cloth, leather, bamboo, paper, or plastic. The use of bags predates recorded history, with the earliest bags being lengths of animal skin, cotton, or woven plant fibers, folded up at the edges and secured in that shape with strings of the same material. Bags can be used to carry items such as personal belongings, groceries, and other objects. They comes in various shapes and sizes, often equipped with handles or straps for easier carrying.

Bags have been fundamental for the development of human civilization, as they allow people to easily collect and carry loose materials, such as berries or food grains, also allowing them to carry more items in their hands.

The word probably has its origins in the Norse word baggi, from the reconstructed Proto-Indo-European bʰak, but is also comparable to the Welsh baich (load, bundle), and the Greek Τσιαντουλίτσα (Chandulícha, load).

Cheap disposable paper bags and plastic shopping bags are very common, varying in size and strength in the retail trade as a convenience for shoppers, and are often supplied by the shop for free or for a small fee. Customers may also take their own shopping bag(s) to use in shops.

Although paper had been used for wrapping and padding in Ancient China since the 2nd century BC, the first use of paper bags in China (for preserving the flavor of tea) came during the later Tang dynasty (618–907 AD).

Laurent may refer to:

  • Laurent (name), a French masculine given name and a surname
    • Saint Laurence (aka: Saint Laurent), the martyr Laurent
    • Pierre Alphonse Laurent, mathematician
    • Joseph Jean Pierre Laurent, amateur astronomer, discoverer of minor planet (51) Nemausa
  • Laurent, South Dakota, a proposed town for the Deaf to be named for Laurent Clerc

Leather is a strong, flexible and durable material obtained from the tanning, or chemical treatment, of animal skins and hides to prevent decay. The most common leathers come from cattle, sheep, goats, equine animals, buffalo, pigs and hogs, and aquatic animals such as seals and alligators.

Leather can be used to make a variety of items, including clothing, footwear, handbags, furniture, tools and sports equipment, and lasts for decades. Leather making has been practiced for more than 7,000 years and the leading producers of leather today are China and India.

Critics of tanneries claim that they engage in unsustainable practices that pose health hazards to the people and the environment near them.

In Christian belief, a saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, likeness, or closeness to God. However, the use of the term saint depends on the context and denomination. In Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Oriental Orthodox, and Lutheran doctrine, all of their faithful deceased in Heaven are considered to be saints, but a selected few are considered worthy of greater honor or emulation. Official ecclesiastical recognition, and consequently a public cult of veneration, is conferred on some denominational saints through the process of canonization in the Catholic Church or glorification in the Eastern Orthodox Church after their approval. In many Protestant denominations saint refers broadly to any holy Christian, without special recognition or selection.

While the English word saint (deriving from the Latin sanctus) originated in Christianity, historians of religion tend to use the appellation "in a more general way to refer to the state of special holiness that many religions attribute to certain people", referring to the Jewish ḥasīd or tzadik, the Islamic walī/ fakir, the Hindu rishi, Sikh bhagat or guru, the Shintoist kami, the Taoist shengren, and the Buddhist arhat or bodhisattva also as saints. Depending on the religion, saints are recognized either by official declaration, as in the Catholic faith, or by popular acclamation (see folk saint).

The human shoulder is made up of three bones: the clavicle (collarbone), the scapula (shoulder blade), and the humerus (upper arm bone) as well as associated muscles, ligaments and tendons.

The articulations between the bones of the shoulder make up the shoulder joints. The shoulder joint, also known as the glenohumeral joint, is the major joint of the shoulder, but can more broadly include the acromioclavicular joint.

In human anatomy, the shoulder joint comprises the part of the body where the humerus attaches to the scapula, and the head sits in the glenoid cavity. The shoulder is the group of structures in the region of the joint.

The shoulder joint is the main joint of the shoulder. It is a ball and socket joint that allows the arm to rotate in a circular fashion or to hinge out and up away from the body. The joint capsule is a soft tissue envelope that encircles the glenohumeral joint and attaches to the scapula, humerus, and head of the biceps. It is lined by a thin, smooth synovial membrane. The rotator cuff is a group of four muscles that surround the shoulder joint and contribute to the shoulder's stability. The muscles of the rotator cuff are supraspinatus, subscapularis, infraspinatus, and teres minor. The cuff adheres to the glenohumeral capsule and attaches to the humeral head.

The shoulder must be mobile enough for the wide range actions of the arms and hands, but stable enough to allow for actions such as lifting, pushing, and pulling.

I fell in love with this bag and thought it was the perfect size…until I saw the medium. It’s slightly larger and it was so beautiful in black that I bought the medium too. These are my absolute favorites out of all my designer bags.

I was debating between the toy Lou Lou and the small Lou Lou. There is a big price increase to the small Lou Lou, from the toy size. I must say that this bag is much more substantial than the toy size. This bag has a gold chain with leather on the top so it’s quite comfortable. I was worried it would be heavy but is it not. The chain as well as the bag, is very lightweight. You can wear the bag on your shoulder or as a crossbody. The bag itself is organized inside with a divider in the middle of the bag and a zipper pocket. This bag fits a lot inside – an iPhone plus, key, iPods, small wallet as another small ID card wallet . The black leather is gorgeous and smells amazing! Hope this bag will last for years. If your debating , it’s worth the splurge on this bag. Love this YSL bag!!

Been eyeing in Blanc for a while and finally bought it. Love the matte gold of the strap and the color is a beautiful gray-white, very understated and demure. Felt maybe a little big for evening (I am petite at 5’ 2”), but it was either that or the camera bag and I needed more space for my stuff! Happy to use for years to come. Tried to add a photo but wouldn’t upload- sorry!
