I just finished my first cut with this mower purchased this morning. Out of the box, the first battery took exactly one hour to fully charge, and I was off and mowing. We’re in an end-of-group townhouse, so our front and side yard are not yuge. Did the whole job with just one battery. If you have both batteries installed, there is a “key” which lets you switch between batteries if the first one dies on you during a mow. The self-propelled feature is a breeze to use, and is infinitely adjustable with a slider on the handle. Going down a slope and don’t need it, just release the lever and the wheels roll freely. Wheel height adjustment is joyful compared with our old mower. A single lever easily moves all 4 wheels up or down. An unexpected feature (maybe because I didn’t read the manual first) is that when going through heavy, tall grass, the motor revs up to get through the increased resistance and cut the heavier stuff, then returns to normal speed when you’re out of the thick stuff.

Super light weight, excellent mulching/cutting ability. Long battery life. My first experience with a cordless mower after using a Honda for 20+ years. Really pleased!!!

All in all, I am pleased with the purchase. But, the power is a drop off from my gas lawn mower. This is the first battery powered mower I have owned and it is still taking a little to get accustomed to. The things I love are the noise level and unit weight. The mower cuts fine and that has not been a let down.

Best purchase I’ve made of yard tools and machines. I previously purchased a brand new gas lawn mower at the end of the year, and it already needs work done on the carburetor so I decided to look for an electric, self propelled lawn machine. I use this every few days. It’s a little beast of a machine- easily cuts weeds that are taller and handles well on rugged terrain that is not really level and has holes in the ground from critters.
