Endurance (also related to sufferance, forbearance, resilience, constitution, fortitude, persistence, tenacity, steadfastness, perseverance, stamina, and hardiness) is the ability of an organism to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from and have immunity to trauma, wounds, or fatigue.
The term is often used in the context of aerobic or anaerobic exercise. The definition of "long" varies according to the type of exertion – minutes for high intensity anaerobic exercise, hours or days for low intensity aerobic exercise. Training for endurance can reduce endurance strength unless an individual also undertakes resistance training to counteract this effect.
When a person is able to accomplish or withstand more effort than previously, their endurance is increasing. To improve their endurance they may slowly increase the amount of repetitions or time spent; in some exercises, more repetitions taken rapidly improve muscle strength but have less effect on endurance. Increasing endurance has been proven to release endorphins resulting in a positive mind. The act of gaining endurance through physical activity decreases anxiety, depression, and stress, or any chronic disease. Although a greater endurance can assist the cardiovascular system this does not imply that endurance is guaranteed to improve any cardiovascular disease. "The major metabolic consequences of the adaptations of muscle to endurance exercise are a slower utilization of muscle glycogen and blood glucose, a greater reliance on fat oxidation, and less lactate production during exercise of a given intensity."
The term stamina is sometimes used synonymously and interchangeably with endurance. Endurance may also refer to an ability to persevere through a difficult situation, to "endure hardship".
In military settings, endurance is the ability of a force to sustain high levels of combat potential relative to its opponent over the duration of a campaign.
Pro is an abbreviation meaning "professional".

I ordered my Endurance SLe on the bike builder , this part was easy , the payment was easy and I more than happy with the ordering process and the way things looked. My order went on the 26th Nov 2020 and the promise Date was the 13th Jan 2021. This was where things started to get frustrating. I had an email to say that the promise date had been put back to the 3rd March and this lead to me getting in contact using the online chat . The chat if I’m honest just led to more frustration as I felt I was being fobbed off. Next a phone call to customer services and finally I could talk to someone. I was advised the issue was the group set and it was due to be delivered early Feb, this then got delayed again but the group set was confirmed to have arrived on the 19th Feb and I was told that all the parts for my bike were now in stock but they could not start the build as the frame had not been painted, I was annoyed about this but I was given a build date and was told that the 3rd of march would be the latest. It got to a point again the online chat was getting frustrating , I found that I had to keep contacting them to find out what was happening and on the Phone I put through to Sam Williams an account manager. If I’m honest Sam was brilliant , he listened to me for a start, and when I get wound up I’m not the easiest person to talk to. The issue now was that the rear mech was not in stock, All i know is they had to order a new one and it took over a week. Sam kept calling me to give me updates which was brilliant and in the end Sam arranged for the build and delivery to be fast tracked.
Ok so that was the frustrating bit , My bike arrived on the 17th March , and I have to say its amazing . I assembled the bit that you have to do as it comes out the box , set it all up and checked it over. I was really impressed with the finish and i was so happy that I went through the custom route. I decided to go tubeless and had my new tyres ready , the wheels came with tubeless valves and this was an easy process to do, I wasn’t worried about having the extra tyres as I’ve used them on another bike.
And here’s for the Good bit, I took it for a ride tonight . I didn’t use the assist at all, rode it like a normal bike . It rode and handled like a dream and I took 5 minutes off a 30mile loop PB , seriously this thing just rolls . My mates are going to be so pissed with me and that’s just riding it un assisted. The Di2 is brilliant , the Mavic wheels are fantastic and the level 5 integrated handle bars just look the part and feel so comfortable. I don’t think I will use my old bike until the winter now because this does it all. I’ve not used the assist yet, I’ve played with the app on my phone but will possibly just add the bike to my Garmin head unit.
Ribble this is one great bike, sorry if i gave you a hard time but you delivered in the end. Thanks you
