Nordstrom, Inc. () is an American luxury department store chain headquartered in Seattle, Washington, and founded by John W. Nordstrom and Carl F. Wallin in 1901. The original store operated exclusively as a shoe store, and a second location opened in 1923. The growing chain began selling clothing in 1963, and became the full-line retailer that presently exists by 1971. The company founded its off-price Nordstrom Rack division in 1973, and grew both full-line and off-price divisions throughout the United States in the following years. The full-line division competes with department stores including Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue, while the off-price division competes with retailers including the TJX Companies and Ross Stores. Previous expansions beyond the contiguous United States include Puerto Rico (2015–2020) and Canada (2014–2023).

Sunglasses or sun glasses (informally called shades or sunnies; more names below) are a form of protective eyewear designed primarily to prevent bright sunlight and high-energy visible light from damaging or discomforting the eyes. They can sometimes also function as a visual aid, as variously termed spectacles or glasses exist, featuring lenses that are colored, polarized or darkened. In the early 20th century, they were also known as sun cheaters (cheaters then being an American slang term for glasses).

Since the 1930s, sunglasses have been a popular fashion accessory, especially on the beach.

The American Optometric Association recommends wearing sunglasses that block ultraviolet radiation (UV) whenever a person is in the sunlight to protect the eyes from UV and blue light, which can cause several serious eye problems. Their usage is mandatory immediately after some surgical procedures, such as LASIK, and recommended for a certain time period in dusty areas, when leaving the house and in front of a TV screen or computer monitor after LASEK. Dark glasses that do not block UV radiation can be more damaging to the eyes than not wearing eye protection at all, because they tend to open the pupil and allow more UV rays into the eye.

I like polarized lenses, so opted for these. Still don’t understand why high end brands don’t make polarized standard. It does not cost much to manufacture. Anyway, these glasses are nice and lightweight so I am going to keep to wear at the beach/pool where there will be glare. Good deal with the anniversary sale – I would prob not pay full price for these though. the frames are just meh – nothing special. matte finish tortoise shell pattern. not shiny. a bit dull looking.

So I am not someone who enjoys spending a lot on sunglasses. Usually I buy a cheap pair from a retail shop I come across because I simply don’t take the best care of my sunglasses. I bought these on whim because honestly I loved the look online and they were discounted. I was fully expecting to dislike them and return for my $ back. However, I am totally in love because they look fabulous and feel so nice on my face. I have to wear an aviation headset for a living so I really needed something that would not be uncomfortable on my head near my ears. I literally cannot feels these sunglasses near my ears. Do I feel like I could buy these from any other store? Still yes…however I have not come across a more comfortable pair of sunglasses that look flattering in some time.

Love these – I can’t do a metal bridge but wanted the metal earpieces for an elevated look and these are perfect!!
