LET THE SIBLING RIVALRY BEGIN
We took everything that makes P•790 such a beast and put it into a more compact players shape with P•770.
They share the same DNA, each built for dominating distance and premium performance. It’s impossible to choose your favorite child. So, you choose for us. The rivalry starts now.
POUND FOR POUND, NOTHING HITS HARDER
P•770 punches above its weight class. This more compact players iron has no problem keeping up with the heavy hitters, delivering explosive power and distance.
FORGED PERFORMANCE & FORGIVING POWER
A forged hollowed-body construction and ultra-thin face are designed for enhanced feel, distance and forgiveness. The combination of a Thru-Slot Speed Pocket and Progressive ICT are engineered to protect ball speed across the face and improve playability. Even with its compact head shape, P•770 is loaded with the technology needed to make it playable for a wide range of golfers.
THE DNA OF A BEAST
With the technology of P•790 in a smaller package, P•770 is forged from the same DNA with hollow body construction, SpeedFoam™ and advanced tungsten weighting for precise CG placement.
-
COMPACT PLAYERS SHAPING
Designed to fit the eye of a more discerning player, P•770 shaping relies on visual cues such as a thinner topline, less offset and shorter blade length when compared to the P•790.
-
FORGED HOLLOW BODY CONSTRUCTION
These irons consist of a thin, wrap around forged 4140 steel face, soft carbon steel body and up to 46g of tungsten weighting designed to deliver explosive distance and forgiveness.
-
SPEEDFOAM™
An ultra-light urethane foam injected inside the head that’s engineered to push the design limits of face speed while simultaneously improving feel.
-
THRU-SLOT SPEED POCKET™
Our most flexible Speed Pocket™ design is engineered to maximize ball speeds and provide forgiveness on low face shots.
-
PROGRESSIVE INVERTED CONE TECHNOLOGY
Engineers strategically positioned Progressive ICT in each iron to improve accuracy and protect off-center ball speed. Each face is uniquely designed to optimize performance for the specific iron.

I played the 790’s for a few years and I wanted something that looked smaller at address. I purchased the 770’s (PW – 7i; the rest are 790’s) and I fell in love with them. They’re not as forgiving as the 790’s nor do they go as far (I had to re-gap) but I found that I can work these a little bit easier. These are a great alternative to the 790’s. I will eventually replace the rest of my 790’s as needed.

I tried the 790’s which might have been more appropriate for me since I am a high single digit handicapper (7 index), but I couldn’t hit them as well as the 770’s. The 770’s give me a higher trajectory yet I am still getting great distance if I need it. I hit the 7 iron anywhere from 155-190 depending on the demands of the shot, swing speed, etc. I find that I am hitting straighter with less pulled shots (my miss). As for the slightly smaller head, I don’t notice it at all and just looking down at these babies at address gives me so much confidence and I have been shooting lower scores maybe because I don’t want to insult these high performance “race cars.” I got the 770’s to cure my overdraw, which worked to some degree, I am trying to develop more of a fade, it’s a work in progress.

Ordered the 4-P and love them. Ordered the 3 after a month and its great to. Penetrating ball flight never thought I would replace my old 3 iron but glad I did.

These irons are great looking behind the ball, but more importantly, they feel great off the face! You know instantly when you hit it well and shot shaping is easy. Overall highly recommend.

Great looking irons and very consistent. Have only hit balls a few times and played 18. Despite the weaker lofts, no loss is distance, great ball flight. Scoring irons are less forgiving but still allow for miss hits. Went with Elevate 95 stiff shafts. Took 4 months. Seems to be worth the wait.

Look and feel great, have taken them to the range a few times and played my first 18 with them last weekend. Looking forward to some good rounds in the future with these!

The P770 are truely what I call „Stunning Irons“! Tighest dispersion, workability, good length and wonderful feel from long to short irons. Used to play the Titleist AP2 and was considering the T100 – by chance I tested the P770 and did a direct comparison of the two. Bottom line, I never looked back at my initial plan and more than happily changed to Taylormade and the P770! What a difference in performance, feel, looks and quality! Highly recommended and here to stay!
