Glossier is a beauty brand founded by Emily Weiss in 2014. It started as an online-only company, building on the popularity of the beauty blog "Into the Gloss". Glossier was one of the first direct-to-consumer beauty companies when it launched in 2014, and has grown to over 10 retail locations in addition to global distribution in Sephora, SpaceNK, and Mecca. The brand's products span skincare, makeup, bodycare, fragrance, and merch.

A hero (feminine: heroine) is a real person or a main fictional character who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through feats of ingenuity, courage, or strength. The original hero type of classical epics did such things for the sake of glory and honor. Post-classical and modern heroes, on the other hand, perform great deeds or selfless acts for the common good instead of the classical goal of wealth, pride, and fame. The antonym of hero is villain. Other terms associated with the concept of hero may include good guy or white hat.

In classical literature, the hero is the main or revered character in heroic epic poetry celebrated through ancient legends of a people, often striving for military conquest and living by a continually flawed personal honor code. The definition of a hero has changed throughout time. Merriam Webster dictionary defines a hero as "a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities". Examples of heroes range from mythological figures, such as Gilgamesh, Achilles and Iphigenia, to historical and modern figures, such as Joan of Arc, Giuseppe Garibaldi, Sophie Scholl, Alvin York, Audie Murphy, and Chuck Yeager, and fictional "superheroes", including Superman, Supergirl, Spider-Man, Batman, and Captain America.

An oil is any nonpolar chemical substance that is composed primarily of hydrocarbons and is hydrophobic (does not mix with water) and lipophilic (mixes with other oils). Oils are usually flammable and surface active. Most oils are unsaturated lipids that are liquid at room temperature.

The general definition of oil includes classes of chemical compounds that may be otherwise unrelated in structure, properties, and uses. Oils may be animal, vegetable, or petrochemical in origin, and may be volatile or non-volatile. They are used for food (e.g., olive oil), fuel (e.g., heating oil), medical purposes (e.g., mineral oil), lubrication (e.g. motor oil), and the manufacture of many types of paints, plastics, and other materials. Specially prepared oils are used in some religious ceremonies and rituals as purifying agents.

I go through this so fast. It’s way too small. Please make a bigger size with a refill option!

I was so scared to buy this. I actually got the body wash and lotion duo, but after reading so many bad reviews about the smell I was super worried that I had just wasted a ton of money. But it smells AMAZING. You can totally smell that sort of sharper orange Blossom Neroli but I think the main problem most people are facing is that they did not read the description well enough, because I got exactly what I expected! The only thing is I wish it were cheaper and or bigger of a product! Is pretty small for 20$.

I love cleansing oils (e.g., L’Occitane, Nivea pampering oil/Duschol) but held off on trying this because so many people commented that they couldn’t get past the strong scent. Finally I tried it — and I immediately realized what they were talking about. Oh, no! I thought — what were they thinking at Glossier when they scented this great product so strongly? I soldiered on, kept using it, and after a few days, the scent actually grew on me. Cleansing oils are a lifesaver if you have dry skin and feel dried out after using soaps or body washes. This product is gentle enough to use anywhere on your body and will clean anything (even armpits). There are very few cleansing oils on the market, so few options in this category. If you have dry skin, you should try this!
