Cream is a dairy product composed of the higher-fat layer skimmed from the top of milk before homogenization. In un-homogenized milk, the fat, which is less dense, eventually rises to the top. In the industrial production of cream, this process is accelerated by using centrifuges called "separators". In many countries, it is sold in several grades depending on the total butterfat content. It can be dried to a powder for shipment to distant markets, and contains high levels of saturated fat.

Cream skimmed from milk may be called "sweet cream" to distinguish it from cream skimmed from whey, a by-product of cheese-making. Whey cream has a lower fat content and tastes more salty, tangy, and "cheesy". In many countries partially fermented cream is also sold: sour cream, crème fraîche, and so on. Both forms have many culinary uses in both sweet and savoury dishes.

Cream produced by cattle (particularly Jersey cattle) grazing on natural pasture often contains some carotenoid pigments derived from the plants they eat; traces of these intensely colored pigments give milk a slightly yellow tone, hence the name of the yellowish-white color: cream. Carotenoids are also the origin of butter's yellow color. Cream from goat's milk, water buffalo milk, or from cows fed indoors on grain or grain-based pellets, is white.

A moisturizer, or emollient, is a cosmetic preparation used for protecting, moisturizing, and lubricating the skin. These functions are normally performed by sebum produced by healthy skin. The word "emollient" is derived from the Latin verb mollire, to soften.

I have been using this product for a little over a month now and I love it! My mask acne was getting really bad and I needed a better moisturizer – this stuff saved my face. Sometimes moisturizers can feel too heavy and to me this doesn’t. A lot of people commented on the scent and it definitely smells like lavender while applying but I personally don’t find the smell overwhelming and for me it doesn’t linger. If you don’t like the smell of lavender it’s probably not for you. Overall I love this stuff and will be buying more.

I haven’t used this for very long, but I love it, it has such a soft, whipped texture to it. I use it in the morning underneath my makeup and I feel like it makes my skin look super dewy. The reason I took a star off is because I think I might be breaking out slightly from it, but it’s also too soon to tell. The lavender smell can be pretty strong, so if you are sensitive to smells, I would steer clear of this product. This keeps my skin super soft underneath makeup when I wear it, which I love, because I use prescription topicals for my acne, which dry my skin out as is. Overall, yes buy it, unless you don’t like a strong lavender scent or you are sensitive to essential oils in products.
