I’m very happy with the LONO so far, it’s a great design that lives up to the promises made for portability speed and comfort. I’ve been out on the lake with my kid and the dog, and have been out in the ocean and it handled well. I’m also happy with BOTE as a company, I’ve contacted their service department a few times and they were very helpful. For example I lost a small clip and they are sending me a new one. I’ve previously owned other premium kayak products such as Hobie Mirage, and I would say Bote is comparable. Would recommend.

Loved it so much, buying a second!
We tried out our new kayak at the river/beach a few weekends ago. We decided to load the kayak fully packed in its case and bring it down to the beach. We had to climb over a bridge and down through a trail to get to our private beach and it was manageable. Once on the beach we only had the manual pump that came with the kayak and we were so surprised to see how quickly it inflated. That was much easier than we were expecting. Once the kayak was inflated and all pieces were inflated assembling it was a breeze. We tested out the SUP feature first and found with the addition of the fin below that it was very maneuverable and controllable in the water. Attaching the accessories to turn it into a kayak was super simple and we also fully enjoyed kayaking and noted that the kayak was very seaworthy and stable even when we put three people on it LOL. All the pieces of the product were so rigid and felt so adorable we were so impressed. We loved it so much that we’re going to buy a second. One thing to note is getting it back in the case successfully. We did not find the folding instructions useful. We developed our own method. It’s important to let the kayak warm up in the sun so that it’s more malleable. Once this is done we started with the nose and folded the rigid part of the nose to the side so that the kayak would not become too bulky and it’s folded position. We rolled it and flattened it as we went and then we put all of our weight on it to compress it as much as possible. With this done it fit nicely into the case and there was room to put the two additional inflatable pieces the seat and the platform could go in nicely on top or on bottom in the case. I can’t say enough about this kayak we love it and are looking forward to buying more accessories and adding another one to our collection. We’re hooked!
