Law Tactical’s steel adapter enables installation of a folding stock on any AR-15 to create a smaller-profile rifle for easy deployment from a vehicle or transport in non-permissive environments. Works with standard gas impingement OR gas piston system. Accepts A2, mil-spec M4-style, and commercial carbine receiver extension tube and almost any stock that fits them. Compatible with all standard bolt carrier groups, including full-auto and .308 size. Single-button operation for quick folding and unfolding and steel locking latch keeps stock securely in place when extended. Gen3-M has a lowered hinge to avoid interference when charging the weapon, and a setscrew keeps the adapter securely affixed to the receiver. Hinge tension is adjustable so you can choose how stiff the folding mechanism is. Includes special bolt carrier extension (no tools to install/remove). Current version utilizes standard buffer retaining pin and spring. Stock adapter features DLC coating.

The Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter works with direct impingement or gas piston systems and fits A2, carbine, mil-spec or commercial buffer tube and stocks. It can be used with standard bolt carrier groups including: full auto, semi auto, 5.56 to .308.

The adapter does not affect gun function when unfolded in the standard fire position. The rear portion of the adapter is built to the same specifications as a standard receiver to ensure maximum compatibility. An integrated single point sling attachment point is included. When buying guns and parts, you get what you pay for. The Law Tactical folder is no exception. If you’re looking for a beyond high quality folder to turn your pistol/SBR into a backpack/truck gun, this product is what you want. Price tag is hefty but functions accordingly. On top of that, the backorder only took a week to ship.

The product is very well built. The instructions are straight forward and it is easy to install. However when I first received it, the hinge screw was very tight not allowing me to move the hinged parts. This prevented the necessary disassembly of the parts required to install the product. The instructions warn one not to remove the hinge pin, so I was reluctant to touch this. I cautiously loosened the bolt with hex key.The hinge then swung freely enough allowing me to remove the necessary parts for the initial installation, and then reassembly.

I purchased this folder for a mk18 pistol that I was building. At the time of purchase, the item was on backorder but there was a discount code I got from MrGunsNGear that worked. I don’t want to mismanage expectations but the item shipped two days later. And arrived at my house quickly. Somewhere during its trip to me it appears that a postal worker got nosey and opened the package but all of the contents made it to me. The install was extremely easy. After simply watching the video provided on this site one time, I tackle the install with ease. The only tools you would additionally need to complete the installation would be a castle nut wrench and an allen key(may have been removed from my package when opened.) It folds and functions nicely, you can adjust the tension quickly with the turn of an allen key. The materials used in its construction are quite robust and the finish of the equipment is excellent. I was on the fence about using other folding adapters but am glad I bought once so I can cry once. I didnt want to cut any corners when doing this particular build (apart from a form 1.) I have nothing negative to say about this product. Inherently, you cannot complete all cycles of function with the weapon folded, but that was always to be expected when utilizing upper receivers that rely on the buffer tube receiver extension. I would highly recommend this product and would recommend even higher that they use brownells to purchase it.

Just installed this last week, good clear directions, easy installation, took about 15 minutes. Locks up tight, yet easily manipulated. This was installed on a 9mm AR with a 7.5 inch barrel and fits perfectly in my Vertx Commuter Sling 2.0. It is my carry bag for hospital duty when sitting on inmates in the hospital. Allows me to fold and carry a shoulder fired weapon if things go bad. I’m going to order a second one very soon for a.300 BLK for the same reason.

Easy to install but take your time. Make sure detent and spring all way down in tube or it want to let bolt charge. Excellent quality.

The Law Tactical folder was easy to install and works well. My AR pistol now easy fits into a small backpack. It is a robust piece, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
