KitchenAid Pro 600 6-qt Bowl Lift Stand Mixer with Flex Edge

You’re never short on sweet and savory inspo. And, neither are we: think braided loaves, lavishly studded with candies and fruit (multiplied times five) or triple batches of kid-frosted cutouts (let’s hope they last a day) or maybe it’s mega batches of mashed potatoes (for now and freezing for later).

This is my second Kitchenaid mixer because there was an unfortunate situation with the other. Anyway, I decided to buy the style with the lift and just received it yesterday. It is just in time for me to make a batch of bread. While I love kneading bread, I am healing an achilles tendon in my right foot so I am in a boot for the next 4 weeks and cannot bother with kneading. I will leave another review once I use the machine later today, I am so excited!

Have always loved these machines and I’m never disappointed. Mine did arrive without the handle grip.

I love Kitchen aid mixers, as I bake a lot. So the mixer is perfect as I have an old hunter green one for 25 years now that works perfectly. I am doing a kitchen renovation and I thought this color would match, however after counter tops was installed its does not match at all. So I will be ordering the silver one. They are the best thing ever if you are a baker. Two will be great around the holidays as I will be baking up a storm. I have purchased one for a house warming present for all my friends and relatives, and they all love theirs!!! We ladies now all have a saying regarding the mixers ‘It’s Simple” in a high pitched voice!!! We all love them.

I’ve owned a KitchenAid stand mixer for the pas 25 years and decided it was time to retire the old Classic 250 and get a more powerful unit. Don’t get me wrong, my Classic 250 did everything asked it to do from making bread dough to grinding meats and making applesauce, but with the need for added volume I just couldn’t pass up this 575watt unit. My only issue is with the handling of the shipping. When the box arrive by UPS, it was smashed on one side. When I opened the box I found that the Styrofoam packaging had also been smashed and the mixer had some damage, Namely the cover for the accessories access was bent off to one side and there were several nicks and scrapes to the unit itself. Hopefully no damage was done the the drive part of the unit and it too will give me another 25 years of service.

Got my mixer and I LOVE how big it is. It can definitely handle larger batches than my 500 does. My only complaint is that it is very loud. Granted, I know they are not whisper quiet, but this thing is about as pound as a blender!
