Baloo (from Hindi: भालू bhālū "bear") is a main fictional character featured in Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book from 1894 and The Second Jungle Book from 1895. Baloo, a sloth bear, is the strict teacher of the cubs of the Seeonee wolf pack. His most challenging pupil is the "man-cub" Mowgli. Baloo and Bagheera, the panther, save Mowgli from Shere Khan, the tiger, and endeavour to teach Mowgli the Law of the Jungle in many of The Jungle Book stories.
King is the title given to a male monarch in a variety of contexts. A king is an absolute monarch if he holds the powers of government without control, or the entire sovereignty over a nation; he is a limited monarch if his power is restrained by fixed laws; and he is an absolute, when he holds the whole legislative, judicial, and executive power, or when the legislative or judicial powers, or both, are vested in other people by the king. Kings are hereditary sovereigns when they hold the powers of government by right of birth or inheritance, and elective when raised to the throne by choice.
- In the context of prehistory, antiquity and contemporary indigenous peoples, the title may refer to tribal kingship. Germanic kingship is cognate with Indo-European traditions of tribal rulership (c.f. Indic rājan, Gothic reiks, and Old Irish rí, etc.).
- In the context of classical antiquity, king may translate in Latin as rex and in Greek as archon or basileus.
- In classical European feudalism, the title of king as the ruler of a kingdom is understood to be the highest rank in the feudal order, potentially subject, at least nominally, only to an emperor (harking back to the client kings of the Roman Republic and Roman Empire).
- In a modern context, the title may refer to the ruler of one of a number of modern monarchies (either absolute or constitutional). The title of king is used alongside other titles for monarchs: in the West, emperor, grand prince, prince, archduke, duke or grand duke, and in the Islamic world, malik, sultan, emir or hakim, etc.
- The city-states of the Aztec Empire each had a tlatoani. These were the kings of pre-Hispanic Mesoamerica. The Huey Tlatoani was the emperor of the Aztecs.
The term king may also refer to a king consort, a title that is sometimes given to the husband of a queen regnant, but the title of prince consort is more common.
Queen most commonly refers to:
- Queen regnant, a female monarch of a kingdom
- Queen consort, the wife of a reigning king
- Queen (band), a British rock band
Queen or QUEEN may also refer to:
Size in general is the magnitude or dimensions of a thing. More specifically, geometrical size (or spatial size) can refer to three geometrical measures: length, area, or volume. Length can be generalized to other linear dimensions (width, height, diameter, perimeter). Size can also be measured in terms of mass, especially when assuming a density range.
In mathematical terms, "size is a concept abstracted from the process of measuring by comparing a longer to a shorter". Size is determined by the process of comparing or measuring objects, which results in the determination of the magnitude of a quantity, such as length or mass, relative to a unit of measurement. Such a magnitude is usually expressed as a numerical value of units on a previously established spatial scale, such as meters or inches.
The sizes with which humans tend to be most familiar are body dimensions (measures of anthropometry), which include measures such as human height and human body weight. These measures can, in the aggregate, allow the generation of commercially useful distributions of products that accommodate expected body sizes, as with the creation of clothing sizes and shoe sizes, and with the standardization of door frame dimensions, ceiling heights, and bed sizes. The human experience of size can lead to a psychological tendency towards size bias, wherein the relative importance or perceived complexity of organisms and other objects is judged based on their size relative to humans, and particularly whether this size makes them easy to observe without aid.

This is my second blanket to go on another bed. I have been using my first Baloo blanket for about 5 years now. I sleep so sound and comfy. I miss it so much when traveling. It has been washed many times and holding up well. Great quality. I highly recommend .

I thought it would take me a while to get used to the weight, but the first night I fell asleep fast and to my surprise stayed asleep. My husband also loves it and tries to steal it to his side!

I have always been a great sleeper and have always been able to fall asleep quickly with little effort. So I bought one for my wife about…I think about 6-mis. ago and she raved about it; how much she loved it and how she slept much better with it.
That made me very happy but honestly I was a little skeptical. I mean a blanket is a blanket. But I think with all that is going on and an increase in my stress, I noticed I wasn’t sleeping as deeply and restful as I have been accustomed to most of my life. So about 3-eeeks ago I decided to order one for myself and try it out.
I thought….what the heck, if I don’t like it I will return it. Well…let me tell you, and THIS IS THE HONEST TO GOD TRUTH…. The day it arrived I used it that very same night. Wow! OMG…as many people say now! This blanket is REALLY different. I wasn’t any more tired than I usually am and even when I got under it to go to sleep for work the next day I wasn’t really thinking much about it. I just read a little and then shut my eyes and fell asleep.
I slept about 3 times better that very first night! And I continue to up to last night. I noticed two things the first couple nights and every night thereafter:
1. Even though I’ve always been a good sleeper, I tend to toss and turn a lot. Not so with this weighted blanket.
2. I also could tell starting the very first night…I sleep A LOT deeper! So when I get up in the morning I feel noticeably more rested.
I’m NOT exaggerating. I even thought after the first night maybe this is just a coincidence or something. But I’m coming up on a month of sleeping with this miracle blanket.
I don’t know much about the brain and sleep, but I am pretty convinced this effect has something to do with making a person feel like they did while in their Mother’s womb. The one thing I do know for SURE is that this weighted blanket is made very well (quality of fabric, needs, & stitching) and most importantly….it is a true
LIFE CHANGER!
I challenge anyone who needs and/or wants a better night sleep and has any doubts like I did to just order one and try it! Experiencing it personally like I have will impact you in a big good way!
Very soon I think I will post a video on social media to try and reach more people and help them appreciate just how awesome this blanket is.
Thank You Baloo Blankets!
I LOVE my Banky!!! I just wish more people knew about these and would give it a try!
Take care everyone and God bless.

We got the 25 lb blanket which was a lot and sometimes not so fun to make the bed but it’s been amazing. I was having a very hard time falling asleep and this weighted blanket has made a big difference. I’m glad I took the time to find this one because I also sleep better knowing it’s a quality product made with the planet in mind.

Overall I like the blanket. I have been using it at night over a cotton sheet. I find it to be a bit hotter than was described – I don’t think I’ll be able to use it in the summer because I sleep so hot. But other than that it is nicely constructed. Can’t comment on how it washes up yet.

Just it’s not warm enough. In the March April month in Canada, I need my regular blanket under the weighted blanket to stay warm.

I feel so cozy under my new blanket that I look forward to going to bed now. I was worried the 15 pounds of the full/queen size might be too heavy for my 95-pound body weight, but it’s great. I had to adjust the amount of bedding I put over it. It doesn’t have much warmth but that makes it good for year-round sleeping. The smooth cotton cover is soft to the touch. It feels like high-quality material. Customer service was great too.

I can’t believe it was this beautifully amazing weighted blanket I was always looking for, instead of those 500 blankets on my bed..hehhes
I am so grateful to have such a high quality product (that I’ve been recommending to everyone!) that enhances the quality of my sleep every single night.
