A resort (North American English) is a self-contained commercial establishment that aims to provide most of a vacationer's needs. This includes food, drink, swimming, accommodation, sports, entertainment and shopping, on the premises. A hotel is frequently a central feature of a resort and the term resort may be used for a hotel that provides an array of entertainment and recreational activities. Some resorts are also condominium complexes that offer timeshares or fractional ownership, in addition to wholly owned condominiums. A resort is not always a commercial establishment operated by a single company, but in the late 20th century, that sort of facility became more common.
In British English, "resort" means a town which people visit for holidays and day trips, typically containing hotels where holidaymakers stay. Examples of such towns include Blackpool and Brighton.
A skyway, skybridge, skywalk, or sky walkway is an elevated type of pedway connecting two or more buildings in an urban area, or connecting elevated points within mountainous recreational zones. Urban skyways very often take the form of enclosed or covered footbridges that protect pedestrians from the weather. Open-top modern skyways in mountains now often have glass bottoms. Sometimes enclosed urban skywalks are made almost totally from glass, including ceilings, walls and floors. Also, some urban skyways function strictly as linear parks designed for walking.
In North America skyways are usually owned by businesses, and are therefore not public spaces (compare with sidewalk). However, in Asia, such as Bangkok's and Hong Kong's skywalks, they are built and owned separately by the city government, connecting between privately run rail stations or other transport with their own footbridges, and run many kilometers. Skyways usually connect on the first few floors above the ground-level floor, though they are sometimes much higher, as in Petronas Towers. The space in the buildings connected by skyways is often devoted to retail business, so areas around the skyway may operate as a shopping mall. Non-commercial areas with closely associated buildings, such as university campuses, can often have skyways and/or tunnels connecting buildings.
The world's largest discontinuous skyway network – Calgary, Alberta, Canada's "+15 Walkway" system – has a total length of 16 km (9.9 mi). The Minneapolis Skyway System is the world's largest continuous system and spans 9.5 miles (15.3 km) connecting 80 blocks in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
On a smaller scale, terminals of large airports are often connected by skywalk systems, as at Manchester Airport, United Kingdom; in many airports, retractable jet bridges provide a direct connection between airplanes and terminals.
Some cities have the equivalent of a skyway underground, and there are also mixed subway–skyway systems; see underground city.

With Spring and Summer right around the corner, I wanted to get my daughter a play set so she can stay active and enjoy the outdoors. I saw this KidKraft Skyway Resort Swing Set and knew this was the one. This is one awesome play set that will have your little ones beaming for hours! This set offers two slides, two swings, a tunnel, a tree house/fort, two ladders, and an observation deck with a telescope! I used the BILT app and I would say that this is a definite must if you plan on assembling this play set on your own. The app estimated it would take 3 people about 10 hours to assemble this play set. I would say this is correct as I assembled this by myself in 30 hours. I however don’t recommend anyone to tackle the assembly by yourself. As I would consider myself fit and an expert builder and even I struggled at times. In the end, the hard work was worth it when I saw the big smile on my daughter’s face when she played on it for the very first time! KidKraft does a great job in the milling of the wood pieces and labeling of the wooden parts and the hardware. While I wholeheartedly recommend paying installers to assemble this play set (most stores have numbers for them), I can offer the following advice if you plan to assemble it yourself. First lay out all the wooden parts by ascending order of the numbers stamped on them. Then layout all the screws/ bolts/ washers/ nuts etc in order of the ascending numbers/ letters. Then follow the BILT app as it provides 3D directions with voice directions. If I had to follow the printed directions then I can honestly say it would have taken my 10 hours longer. I also used rubber mulch to provide a safe and cushioned surface for her. In the end, I have to say that I am very impressed with the precision of the engineering/ design work/ milling that KidKraft took in delivering this play set! All the pieces fitted together like a glove! I know this KidKraft Skyway Resort Play Set will provide my daughter years of enjoyment!! I highly recommend this KidKraft Skyway Resort Play Set without any reservations!

My son absolutely loves it. It took my husband pretty much by himself 3 days to assemble it. He did add extra rails on the side with the ladder bc our son wasn’t comfortable enough without having something to hold onto the side. He is developmentally delayed some. My son just made 7 years old, he says the curly slide needs to be curly more. All in all, he is one happy little boy. Before assembling organize all the pieces and parts, it will make it easier to assemble. It also came with anchors. We got wind gusts over 40 mph and the anchors held it up.

This is a top-class backyard playset! There is so much here for the kids to do, we’re super happy with the final product. Two slides, a skyway tunnel, two swing setups, a nice hang-out resort with classy windows – what more could you want! This was my third KidKraft build and the most difficult, yet most rewarding. I built this by myself (I’d advise to have some help) and it took me about 18 hours altogether. The directions are top-notch as always, and it’s easy to follow along. There were more than enough extra hardware pieces, which is always helpful as I lost a few in the yard during the process. The wood provided is excellent and came all intact. Assembling the twisty slide was the most time consuming part of the build, but it’s an awesome feature of the playset. Overall, this is an increbile playset that will entertain our kids and their friends for many years to come! KidKraft is the best of the best!
