A ceramic is any of the various hard, brittle, heat-resistant, and corrosion-resistant materials made by shaping and then firing an inorganic, nonmetallic material, such as clay, at a high temperature. Common examples are earthenware, porcelain, and brick.

    I love this grill. I’ve been using gas for the last 20 years and the Kamado Joe is amazing! The only downside is it seems pricey but it’s worth every penny.

    Bought this smoker over a month ago, wish I would have purchased it years ago. I am finally able to control temperatures within a few degrees. So far my longest cook has been 6 hours and temp never varied once set adjusted to 220 degrees.

    I bought my first Kamado Joe a month ago and was surprised how easy it was to control the temperature and use. Our maiden voyage was to reverse searing a NY Strip and was blown away of how good it was!! Highly recommend this to anyone who likes to grill, smoke and all of the above.

    I have used many different types of grills over the years and always preferred to use natural woods or charcoals instead of manufactured chips or pellets. I have finally found the “Holy Grail” of grills that allow me to do just that and have incredible control over the temperatures with such versatility. Low and slow or hot and fast. All possible in one unit. While not inexpensive, you get what you pay for!

    Everything went great except for never receiving the fire starts and due to covid the driver signing the ticket so no way to get a refund but other than that everything was fine.

    I have been following Kamado Joe for a couple of years. My WSM had become too leaky and it was tough to maintain temps. It’s expensive but such a joy to cook with. I’ve started to rearrange my weekends for my cooks. It’s easy to use and very versatile. In the first six weeks I’ve done the slow and low using the slo roller (tri tip, pork shoulder, brisket), pizza (using the DoJoe at 600°!), and roitisserie (wings and al pastor tacos using the Joetisserie). I can’t adequately explain how awesome each of these turned out. I follow some YouTube videos and the rest is easy. I even enjoy cleaning it out! So again, don’t hesitate, just buy it!

    The kamado Joe classic 3 is my first introduction to smoking food, I didn’t bother buying something cheaper first and work my way up to a premium unit. Glad I didn’t waste my money on anything else!

    It’s HUGE, and heavy! Extremely well built, and utilizes very good materials. Ensure you have another person with you if you plan on utilizing the stand. It’s awkward, and like I said, heavy. You may even do well to have a third person on, “Stand by” just incase you need yet another pair of hands to assist. Finally, the directions on the proper way to place the inserts is less than stellar. I can’t tell you how long I attempted to install the inserts until I figured out to utilize the metal ring. The ring not only kept everything in place, but also closed any gaps I was originally running into.
