Gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter. The others are solid, liquid, and plasma. A pure gas may be made up of individual atoms (e.g. a noble gas like neon), elemental molecules made from one type of atom (e.g. oxygen), or compound molecules made from a variety of atoms (e.g. carbon dioxide). A gas mixture, such as air, contains a variety of pure gases. What distinguishes gases from liquids and solids is the vast separation of the individual gas particles. This separation usually makes a colorless gas invisible to the human observer.
The gaseous state of matter occurs between the liquid and plasma states, the latter of which provides the upper-temperature boundary for gases. Bounding the lower end of the temperature scale lie degenerative quantum gases which are gaining increasing attention. High-density atomic gases super-cooled to very low temperatures are classified by their statistical behavior as either Bose gases or Fermi gases. For a comprehensive listing of these exotic states of matter, see list of states of matter.

A lawn () is an area of soil-covered land planted with grasses and other durable plants such as clover which are maintained at a short height with a lawn mower (or sometimes grazing animals) and used for aesthetic and recreational purposes—it is also commonly referred to as part of a garden. Lawns are usually composed only of grass species, subject to weed and pest control, maintained in a green color (e.g., by watering), and are regularly mowed to ensure an acceptable length. Lawns are used around houses, apartments, commercial buildings and offices. Many city parks also have large lawn areas. In recreational contexts, the specialised names turf, parade, pitch, field or green may be used, depending on the sport and the continent.
The term "lawn", referring to a managed grass space, dates to at least the 16th century. With suburban expansion, the lawn has become culturally ingrained in some areas of the world as part of the desired household aesthetic. However, awareness of the negative environmental impact of this ideal is growing. In some jurisdictions where there are water shortages, local government authorities are encouraging alternatives to lawns to reduce water use. Researchers in the United States have noted that suburban lawns are "biological deserts" that are contributing to a "continental-scale ecological homogenization." Lawn maintenance practices also cause biodiversity loss in surrounding areas. Some forms of lawn, such as tapestry lawns, are designed partly for biodiversity and pollinator support.
A tractor is an engineering vehicle specifically designed to deliver a high tractive effort (or torque) at slow speeds, for the purposes of hauling a trailer or machinery such as that used in agriculture, mining or construction. Most commonly, the term is used to describe a farm vehicle that provides the power and traction to mechanize agricultural tasks, especially (and originally) tillage, and now many more. Agricultural implements may be towed behind or mounted on the tractor, and the tractor may also provide a source of power if the implement is mechanised.
Twins are two offspring produced by the same pregnancy. Twins can be either monozygotic ('identical'), meaning that they develop from one zygote, which splits and forms two embryos, or dizygotic ('non-identical' or 'fraternal'), meaning that each twin develops from a separate egg and each egg is fertilized by its own sperm cell. Since identical twins develop from one zygote, they will share the same sex, while fraternal twins may or may not. In very rare cases fraternal (and semi- or half-identical) twins can have the same mother and different fathers (heteropaternal superfecundation).
In contrast, a fetus that develops alone in the womb (the much more common case in humans) is called a singleton, and the general term for one offspring of a multiple birth is a multiple. Unrelated look-alikes whose resemblance parallels that of twins are referred to as doppelgänger.
V, or v, is the twenty-second letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is vee (pronounced ), plural vees.

The mower rides great and cuts better, but within three weeks of having the mower the drive belt was knocked off by a tiny stick. I had to send the mower in for repair and after it was delivered back to me, it wouldn’t start at all. A fuse had blown due to wires touching the engine block and arching. I think my experience is the one in a million for issues, and I am happy with my yard when I’ve finished mowing. I just wish there weren’t so many problems in between!

I decided to invest in a John Deere after having 2 competitive brands of tractors over 27 years. What sold me on the S160 was the features and its ability to handle hilly terrain. The white glove delivery is some what misleading. They drive the tractor off the truck and you sign for it. The only answer to any questions I asked was the factory takes care of everything. The delivery driver really doesn’t know the product. The plus to the delivery service is the tractor was set up properly, properly lubricated and the cutting deck is perfectly level. The tractor was delivered in perfect operating condition. A few cosmetic scuff marks from set up and transportation. My 1st impression was it’s a lawn tractor, just like my other tractors. Then I started to see the performance differences. The hydrostatic transmission is amazing. I know this is not a unique transmission to John Deere, but it works amazingly. This is the first tractor I don’t have to step on the brake while going down one of my hills. Also when you are going up the hill just step on the gas pedal a little harder and it navigates the hill without a problem. I love the gas gauge being on the dash. I like the way the throttle returns to a run position after starting. The electric PTO is a nice feature. The wider tires of the s160 grab the lawn a little better. The adjustable seat makes it easy for someone taller or shorter to operate the tractor comfortably. The seat lumbar adjustment is a nice touch. I read negative reviews about the reverse safety button. My experience is you press the button, and once you are going in reverse you can release the button until you take your foot off the gas. You do not have to hold the button down while going in reverse until you let up on the gas pedal. All lawn tractors have to have a reverse safety feature. I like John Deeres solution better than the competitors I have used. The 30 second oil, and oil filter change is a nice touch, but expensive. After the break in period of 8 hours it needs to be changed every 50 hours. I will reserve my opinion on that. So far that is the only possible downside I have. I would have preferred the oil change system they have on the S240. I did not change the cutting blades when using the bagger. In fact the last cut I made was over a week and a half. My grass was pretty tall and I had no issues cutting, and bagging the grass. The bagger holds more material than I am used to. So far this lawn tractor has met or exceeded my expectations.

I was pleased with my Lawn mower over all but i did not get a white glove delivery. and i noticed a week later when i was showing my son my new lawn mower that on one side of my lawn mower it said s160 and the other side s120 i called john deere about it but nothing was done i guess no big deal i’m not sure how i tell i got the lawn mower i purchased though other than its a 48 inch and i don’t think the s120 comes with a 48 inch cut.

Purchased the John Deere S160 for my daughter as a house warming present. We had gone to another major home building site, and purchased the S140, which they proceeded to sell to someone else before our delivery date. We ordered from Home Depot online and they delivered it 2 weeks earlier than estimated. I went with the S160 for the added features of the larger motor, fuel gauge, and steering wheel. I actually preferred the 2 piece seat the S140 offered, since the lumbar isn’t useful for a small person. Initial impressions of the lawn tractor are very good. Solid frame and the fit and finish appear top notch. My daughter is 5’2″ and the seat slides forward enough that she felt comfortable using the pedals. The motor is quieter than expected. The “white glove” delivery isn’t that great. The local Deere dealer contacted my daughter and arranged the drop off. I say drop off, because the guy delivering the tractor knew nothing about them, and couldn’t answer basic questions on operation. It was full of oil and fuel, the tires were all set to 15.5lbs air and the deck was leveled to 2 1/2″ when the deck was set to 3″. I explained to my daughter how to fix these things… and she proceeded to adjust the deck level, tire pressure and set the anti-scalp wheels for her use. (text messaging and pictures are great tools) I’ve read a lot of the reviews for the E160 (same basic machine), and explained to my daughter that this is a belt driven tractor, and you need to stop before changing from forward to reverse… or you’ll throw the belt. Thank you Deere and Home Depot… you made a new home owner very happy.

Tight turning radius and easy operation. I love it so far. If there’s any drawback, I’m not real crazy about the 30 second oil change, I’ll convert it to a standard oil chand at its first service.
