Mows at full speed without issue. Winterized it and it started right up this spring. Turn radius is a bit wide and steering can be stiff but it is manageable. I am not a fan of the auto kill in reverse when the blade is running but you can push the reverse PTO button and bypass it.

The John Deere S120 was everything I thought it would be. It’s an excellent riding lawn mower and fits my needs.

Seems like a well built machine and is fun to operate. I did not at all like the metric bolts on the mower scarf wheels. 15 mil is one of the sockets not in my set. When I was a kid driving JD B, you could take apart the whole tractor with a handful of standard wrenches.

Purchased the S120 two months ago. Have used it several times. Overall, I am very pleased. Glad I purchased the S120 with the twin-cylinder engine. It has plenty of power and is smooth running. Based upon the reviews and comments about the belt coming off, I was a little skeptical about purchasing the S120 but have had no issues. I regard to the reverse button, my previous Craftsman tractor did not have a safety button but I found the JD button intuitive and positioned that has very easy access. As far as the easy-change oil filter is concerned, I have purchased a conversion kit to change it to a conventional oil change method (it costs nearly $50 for the easy-change filter and would much rather save money using a traditional filter). On a side note, I researched all of the major brands including Cub, Husqvarna, Toro and Craftsman. I found that the S120 is well built and competitively priced for the features it has.
