Area is the measure of a region's size on a surface. The area of a plane region or plane area refers to the area of a shape or planar lamina, while surface area refers to the area of an open surface or the boundary of a three-dimensional object. Area can be understood as the amount of material with a given thickness that would be necessary to fashion a model of the shape, or the amount of paint necessary to cover the surface with a single coat. It is the two-dimensional analogue of the length of a curve (a one-dimensional concept) or the volume of a solid (a three-dimensional concept). Two different regions may have the same area (as in squaring the circle); by synecdoche, "area" sometimes is used to refer to the region, as in a "polygonal area".

The area of a shape can be measured by comparing the shape to squares of a fixed size. In the International System of Units (SI), the standard unit of area is the square metre (written as m2), which is the area of a square whose sides are one metre long. A shape with an area of three square metres would have the same area as three such squares. In mathematics, the unit square is defined to have area one, and the area of any other shape or surface is a dimensionless real number.

There are several well-known formulas for the areas of simple shapes such as triangles, rectangles, and circles. Using these formulas, the area of any polygon can be found by dividing the polygon into triangles. For shapes with curved boundary, calculus is usually required to compute the area. Indeed, the problem of determining the area of plane figures was a major motivation for the historical development of calculus.

For a solid shape such as a sphere, cone, or cylinder, the area of its boundary surface is called the surface area. Formulas for the surface areas of simple shapes were computed by the ancient Greeks, but computing the surface area of a more complicated shape usually requires multivariable calculus.

Area plays an important role in modern mathematics. In addition to its obvious importance in geometry and calculus, area is related to the definition of determinants in linear algebra, and is a basic property of surfaces in differential geometry. In analysis, the area of a subset of the plane is defined using Lebesgue measure, though not every subset is measurable if one supposes the axiom of choice. In general, area in higher mathematics is seen as a special case of volume for two-dimensional regions.

Area can be defined through the use of axioms, defining it as a function of a collection of certain plane figures to the set of real numbers. It can be proved that such a function exists.

A cleaner, cleanser or cleaning operative is a type of industrial or domestic worker who is tasked with cleaning a space. A janitor (US and Canada), also known as a custodian, porter or caretaker, is a person who cleans and might also carry out maintenance and security duties. A similar position, but usually with more managerial duties and not including cleaning, is occupied by building superintendents in the United States and Canada and by site managers in schools in the United Kingdom.

According to the Cambridge English dictionary a "cleaner" is "a person whose job is to clean houses, offices, public places, etc.:"; the Collins dictionary states that: "A cleaner is someone who is employed to clean the rooms and furniture inside a building." However, a cleaner does not always have to be employed and perform work for pay, such as in the case of volunteer work or community service. "Cleaner" may also refer to cleaning agents e.g. oven cleaner, or devices used for cleaning, e.g. vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning operatives may specialize in cleaning particular things or places, such as window cleaners, housekeepers, janitors, crime scene cleaners and so on. Cleaning operatives often work when the people who otherwise occupy the space are not around. They may clean offices at night or houses during the workday.

The term cordless is generally used to refer to electrical or electronic devices that are powered by a battery or battery pack and can operate without a power cord or cable attached to an electrical outlet to provide mains power, allowing greater mobility. The term "cordless" should not be confused with the term "wireless", although it often is in common usage, possibly because some cordless devices (e.g., cordless telephones) are also wireless. The term "wireless" generally refers to devices that use some form of energy (e.g., radio waves, infrared, ultrasonic, etc.) to transfer information or commands over a distance without the use of communication wires, regardless of whether the device gets its power from a power cord or a battery. The term "portable" is an even more general term and, when referring to electrical and electronic devices, usually means devices which are totally self-contained (e.g., have built-in power supplies, have no base unit, etc.) and which may also use wireless technology.

Dry or dryness most often refers to:

  • Lack of rainfall, which may refer to
    • Arid regions
    • Drought
  • Dry or dry area, relating to legal prohibition of selling, serving, or imbibing alcoholic beverages
  • Dry humor, deadpan
  • Dryness (medical)
  • Dryness (taste), the lack of sugar in a drink, especially an alcoholic one
  • Dry direct sound without reverberation

Dry or DRY may also refer to:

A floor is the bottom surface of a room or vehicle. Floors vary from simple dirt in a cave to many layered surfaces made with modern technology. Floors may be stone, wood, bamboo, metal or any other material that can support the expected load.

The levels of a building are often referred to as floors, although sometimes referred to as storeys.

Floors typically consist of a subfloor for support and a floor covering used to give a good walking surface. In modern buildings the subfloor often has electrical wiring, plumbing, and other services built in. As floors must meet many needs, some essential to safety, floors are built to strict building codes in some regions.

Hardwood is wood from angiosperm trees. These are usually found in broad-leaved temperate and tropical forests. In temperate and boreal latitudes they are mostly deciduous, but in tropics and subtropics mostly evergreen. Hardwood (which comes from angiosperm trees) contrasts with softwood (which is from gymnosperm trees).

Perfect commonly refers to:

  • Perfection; completeness, and excellence
  • Perfect (grammar), a grammatical category in some languages

Perfect may also refer to:

Rug or RUG may refer to:

  • Rug, or carpet, a textile floor covering
  • Rug, slang for a toupée
  • Ghent University (Rijksunversiteit Gent, or RUG)
  • Really Useful Group, or RUG, a company set up by Andrew Lloyd Webber
  • Rugby railway station, National Rail code RUG
  • University of Groningen (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen), or RUG

A vacuum (pl.: vacuums or vacua) is space devoid of matter. The word is derived from the Latin adjective vacuus (neuter vacuum) meaning "vacant" or "void". An approximation to such vacuum is a region with a gaseous pressure much less than atmospheric pressure. Physicists often discuss ideal test results that would occur in a perfect vacuum, which they sometimes simply call "vacuum" or free space, and use the term partial vacuum to refer to an actual imperfect vacuum as one might have in a laboratory or in space. In engineering and applied physics on the other hand, vacuum refers to any space in which the pressure is considerably lower than atmospheric pressure. The Latin term in vacuo is used to describe an object that is surrounded by a vacuum.

The quality of a partial vacuum refers to how closely it approaches a perfect vacuum. Other things equal, lower gas pressure means higher-quality vacuum. For example, a typical vacuum cleaner produces enough suction to reduce air pressure by around 20%. But higher-quality vacuums are possible. Ultra-high vacuum chambers, common in chemistry, physics, and engineering, operate below one trillionth (10−12) of atmospheric pressure (100 nPa), and can reach around 100 particles/cm3. Outer space is an even higher-quality vacuum, with the equivalent of just a few hydrogen atoms per cubic meter on average in intergalactic space.

Vacuum has been a frequent topic of philosophical debate since ancient Greek times, but was not studied empirically until the 17th century. Clemens Timpler (1605) philosophized about the experimental possibility of producing a vacuum in small tubes. Evangelista Torricelli produced the first laboratory vacuum in 1643, and other experimental techniques were developed as a result of his theories of atmospheric pressure. A Torricellian vacuum is created by filling with mercury a tall glass container closed at one end, and then inverting it in a bowl to contain the mercury (see below).

Vacuum became a valuable industrial tool in the 20th century with the introduction of incandescent light bulbs and vacuum tubes, and a wide array of vacuum technologies has since become available. The development of human spaceflight has raised interest in the impact of vacuum on human health, and on life forms in general.

I’m in love with this ionVac HydraClean. It makes my life easier, it’s so easy to use and so convenient as well. I love that it’s a multi cleanser that you can use as dry and wet as well. Love the option to clean the area rug with water which makes this cleaner unique. I also love how nice it cleans the hard floor leaving super clean. I strongly recommend it.

This product, ionVac HydraClean, is an absolutely wonderful product! It both cleans and washes your floors in one easy to use machine! Who could ask for more? Its very easy to put together and even more easy to use! I love it and have used it on all of my floors and my throw rugs as well. Its a much more affordable version of a machine made by a well known company and it meets and beats it as far as I am concerned! I would recommend this product to others as its one that no matter who you are or what messes you make it will clean them easier and quicker!

I tried the ionVac HydraClean the Hometesterclub provided me. This is a cordless All-in-One Wet/Dry Vacuum that can clean hard wood floors as well as carpet with an easy transition between the two. Easy to operate in the handle area (on/off button or ecomax), comes with two rollers, brushes and has an automatic self cleaning system. The only flaw is that is a bit heavy and the roller you have to make sure is without hair or threads because it will take more time to self clean. When charging it will give you commands on what to do next!

The ionVac Hydraclean is a convenient, and easy way to clean your floors. It’s also fairly quiet. It comes with 2 different types of brush attachments, a docking station for when it’s not in use and needs to be charged, a charger, and 2 cleaning brushes. It was easy to prepare for use, which is great because sometimes directions are complex and not easily understood. The brush attachments are easy to install and change. You also have the option to use voice commands, but can turn it off if it’s bothersome for you. I love the digital display, and the option to use max force for more thorough cleaning. I only rated it 4 stars for a couple of reasons. First, the power button is located in a spot that when I pulled on the trigger to spray the clean water I constantly hit the power button and shut the vacuum off. If it was placed higher up on the handle that wouldn’t happen. Also, the suction isn’t very powerful. Overall, this is a great cleaner, but works best on hard floors.

m and mop at the same. I love all the accessories that come with it. It makes keeping my house so much easier. The battery lasts for a good amount of time. I also like that you can charge from the dock or directly in the vacuum.

I love that this vacuum is quiet. Most cordless vacuum are super loud. This also sucked up everything better than I expected and it was light weight. It is super easy to maneuver around, but it is also easy to accidentally use the water button when you are not intending to. While older stuck on spots take a bit of muscle and back and fourth motion to get the spot off, newer spills come right up. The self cleaning feature is also really nice. I thought I cleaned it out fairly well when I was done, but running the self clean proved me wrong. The only things I don’t like are that if you use too much water your roller will start to leave a trail of dirty water. (I may have not read directions on this part, so that could be on me). I also don’t like cleaning the filter each time, except I just realized I’m supposed to use the self cleaning BEFORE I clean it out. This just became a game changer. ALWAYS read directions, they are put in there for a reason. The timer is also a great feature.

The ionvac hydraclean is everything you would want in a vacuum and mop all in one! It’s perfect for multiple floor types, we have vinyl flooring, hardwood, and large area rugs all through out our house, so this is perfect for our needs! It has a voice assistant that let’s you know when it’s powering on or off, when to clean it, and guides you through the whole process. The only thing is when you start it up the motor is a little loud so you barely can hear the voice assistant on it. It comes with 2 different brush sets for when you need to vacuum area rugs, and then you switch modes for when you go back to hardwood floors or vinyl flooring and you just press the trigger and it will spray the water and cleaning solution that you put into the back water reservoir. This is a very easy machine to use, it comes with the charging dock so it can be charged up and ready to go. and the battery is great too! you are getting a bargain and a lot more features and accessories.
