1 (one, unit, unity) is a number, numeral, and glyph. It is the first and smallest positive integer of the infinite sequence of natural numbers. This fundamental property has led to its unique uses in other fields, ranging from science to sports, where it commonly denotes the first, leading, or top thing in a group. 1 is the unit of counting or measurement, a determiner for singular nouns, and a gender-neutral pronoun. Historically, the representation of 1 evolved from ancient Sumerian and Babylonian symbols to the modern Arabic numeral.

In mathematics, 1 is the multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number. In digital technology, 1 represents the "on" state in binary code, the foundation of computing. Philosophically, 1 symbolizes the ultimate reality or source of existence in various traditions.

A convertible or cabriolet () is a passenger car that can be driven with or without a roof in place. The methods of retracting and storing the roof vary across eras and manufacturers.

A convertible car's design allows an open-air driving experience, with the ability to provide a roof when required. A potential drawback of convertibles is their reduced structural rigidity (requiring significant engineering and modification to counteract the side effects of almost completely removing a car's roof).

The majority of convertible roofs are of a folding construction framework with the actual top made from cloth or other fabric. Other types of convertible roofs include retractable hardtops (often constructed from metal or plastic) and detachable hardtops (where a metal or plastic roof is manually removed and often stored in the trunk).

A laptop computer or notebook computer, also known as a laptop or notebook, is a small, portable personal computer (PC). Laptops typically have a clamshell form factor with a flat-panel screen on the inside of the upper lid and an alphanumeric keyboard and pointing device on the inside of the lower lid. Most of the computer's internal hardware is fitted inside the lower lid enclosure under the keyboard, although many modern laptops have a built-in webcam at the top of the screen, and some even feature a touchscreen display. In most cases, unlike tablet computers which run on mobile operating systems, laptops tend to run on desktop operating systems, which were originally developed for desktop computers.

The word laptop, modeled after the term desktop (as in desktop computer), refers to the fact that the computer can be practically placed on the user's lap; while the word notebook refers to most laptops sharing a form factor with paper notebooks. As of 2024, in American English, the terms laptop and notebook are used interchangeably; in other dialects of English, one or the other may be preferred. The term notebook originally referred to a type of portable computer that was smaller and lighter than mainstream laptops of the time, but has since come to mean the same thing and no longer refers to any specific size.

Laptops are used in a variety of settings, such as at work (especially on business trips), in education, for playing games, web browsing, for personal multimedia, and for general home computer use. They can run on both AC power and rechargable battery packs and can be folded shut for convenient storage and transportation, making them suitable for mobile use. Laptops combine many of the input/output components and capabilities of a desktop computer into a single unit, including a display screen (usually 11–17 in or 280–430 mm in diagonal size), small speakers, a keyboard, and a pointing device (namely compact ones such as touchpads or pointing sticks). Hardware specifications may vary significantly between different types, models, and price points.

Design elements, form factors, and construction can also vary significantly between models depending on the intended use. Examples of specialized models of laptops include 2-in-1 laptops, with keyboards that either be detached or pivoted out of view from the display (often marketed having a "laptop mode"); rugged laptops, for use in construction or military applications; and low-production-cost laptops such as those from the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) organization, which incorporate features like solar charging and semi-flexible components not found on most laptop computers. Portable computers, which later developed into modern laptops, were originally considered to be a small niche market, mostly for specialized field applications, such as in the military, for accountants, or travelling sales representatives. As portable computers evolved into modern laptops, they became widely used for a variety of purposes.

I got this laptop because I recently got the HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15, which I purchased with the same specs. This laptop is significantly smaller and lighter, which makes portability easier. The 15 laptop has a keypad and the 13 does not. They are great computers with outstanding processing power and durability. The fingerprint scanner doesn’t work well. The touchscreen is convenient. I am very happy with both of my purchases.

I’ve only had my laptop for about a week now, but so far I’m totally in love. The display is crisp and clear, and the full keyboard makes typing comfortable. The system looks very clean, with thin, beveled edges!

I brought this HP spectre 13t one week ago and it’s an amazing product. I got this 1tb SSD with 16 gigs RAM and latest Intel processor for $1400 and it’s quite a great deal. I loved the design and rose gold finish is just classic.

Being that I am actually typing this review on the computer I bought I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! I had been skipping between technology for a long time in the hopes that I could avoid a tech upgrade. but after a looooong process of checking every available computer out there, I finally decided on my spectre, boy am I glad I did! It runs smoothly has all the web pages and processing I need, I love the backlit keys (adjustable brightness!) and the slim lightweight portable ability it has! I intend to keep it around for a long time and it’s so worth the investment! I also couldn’t be happier with the touch screen and two in one capabilities! The screen is plenty big for me and has a nice easy set up process, something a tech unsavvy individual such as myself really appreciates! ( It even has a privacy feature which allows the camera to be switched off when you don’t want to use it! Its great!

I bought this specifically for video editing and so far I’m not disappointed! It works at lightening speed, has a crystal clear screen, and great battery life. I can take it off it’s charger in the morning and work on it off and on throughout the day, the next day and the next day. I’m so not used to this!
It is on the smaller side. It’s probably the size of an actual 2 subject notebook, maybe even less wide. So I can’t work on it at arms length without squinting or zooming in, which is straining and a little annoying to have to scroll all over a page.
The left shift key on my keyboard is physically stuck, it arrived that way.
Last complaint: there’s no slot for reading a standard sd card. But there is one for micro sd, so whatever.
The speaker sound quality is great.
I imagine the camera is awesome too since everything else is.

Overall i love it. It is so fast, has lots of memory, and awesomex resolution, as advertised. Would recommend to anyone producing content on a video channel like YouTube or vimeo, or for a full time student who needs a lot of memory for storing school stuff (my former laptop i used in school takes 15 minutes from boot to browser).

I am submitting this review in
exchange for a Sweepstakes entry, but the opinions are my own.

I ordered this laptop after comparing different types and brands, and I’m so glad I did. Other devices that can be used as a tablet tend not to have the same computing power and require separate purchases of pens and type covers, so this is just right if you have more work to be done and want your purchase to be all inclusive (it even comes with a nice little leather sleeve, and a new pen with extra nibs and battery).

Thus far I’m satisified with the speed (although the web browser has frozen a few times, but I’m not sure if that’s the computer itself or the actual browser).

The fingerprint sensor works well, the pen interface is easy to understand for first time tablet users, the touch screen responds well, the design is sleek, the webcam off switch is comforting and actually works, the track pad is well placed and has great shortcut movements, and the laptop itself isn’t loud.

One negative I have faced is that folding it between tablet and laptop form isn’t particularly swift and easy. It feels kind of awkward and I worry if I’ll scratch it in the process, or damage the keyboard in some way while holding it. Also, the one usb port is kind of tough to use (the opening can be difficult and may get damaged easily since it’s a moving part, and most of the devices I’ve plugged in require some pushing and pulling to insert and remove).

Note that I have only had the laptop for a week and don’t have any intensive programs downloaded, so these are just my first impressions.
