I am a really fussy person when it comes to laptops, so I agonized for a long time over which one to buy. I am particular about the things that I like and don’t like, so I visited a number of retailers to have a ‘hands test” with a lot of machines and it seemed like the Envy was the best combination that I wanted.
I have had this machine for 3 months now and am very happy with it. I had specific needs and it checked all the boxes. I don’t keep a lot of high volume data on my machines so the smaller 256GB SSD is perfectly adequate. I upgrade the RAM and that has proven well worth it, and wanted a higher res camera and screen and those fit the bill. I have problems with my arthritic fingers and as a result typing is hard for me and I need larger key sizes and good tactile response and this meets those needs. As with all laptops, I find that the glidepad is a little too sensitive, so it can shoot the mouse pointer or execute an action a little too quickly, but that is as much me as the machine, and there may be a way to change this. Battery life is very good, I have watched streaming TV/Movies for ~5 hours without a charge and re-charge time is good. Not the fastest, but I didn’t pay for that. Time may change this but happy with it for now. I am particular happy with screen size, almost to the edge; weight; ease of carry; touchscreen and convertibility, but all of these were the reason for my choice of this machine.

I ordered the ENVY x360 in December. I like the features, keyboard, screen. I haven’t fully set it up yet; still transferring files and such.
