Graphics (from Ancient Greek γραφικός (graphikós) 'pertaining to drawing, painting, writing, etc.') are visual images or designs on some surface, such as a wall, canvas, screen, paper, or stone, to inform, illustrate, or entertain. In contemporary usage, it includes a pictorial representation of data, as in design and manufacture, in typesetting and the graphic arts, and in educational and recreational software. Images that are generated by a computer are called computer graphics.

Examples are photographs, drawings, line art, mathematical graphs, line graphs, charts, diagrams, typography, numbers, symbols, geometric designs, maps, engineering drawings, or other images. Graphics often combine text, illustration, and color. Graphic design may consist of the deliberate selection, creation, or arrangement of typography alone, as in a brochure, flyer, poster, web site, or book without any other element. The objective can be clarity or effective communication, association with other cultural elements, or merely the creation of a distinctive style.

Graphics can be functional or artistic. The latter can be a recorded version, such as a photograph, or an interpretation by a scientist to highlight essential features, or an artist, in which case the distinction with imaginary graphics may become blurred. It can also be used for architecture.

Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and incorporated in Delaware. Intel designs, manufactures and sells computer components and related products for business and consumer markets. It is considered one of the world's largest semiconductor chip manufacturers by revenue and ranked in the Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by revenue for nearly a decade, from 2007 to 2016 fiscal years, until it was removed from the ranking in 2018. In 2020, it was reinstated and ranked 45th, being the 7th-largest technology company in the ranking.

Intel supplies microprocessors for most manufacturers of computer systems, and is one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets found in most personal computers (PCs). It also manufactures chipsets, network interface controllers, flash memory, graphics processing units (GPUs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and other devices related to communications and computing. Intel has a strong presence in the high-performance general-purpose and gaming PC market with its Intel Core line of CPUs, whose high-end models are among the fastest consumer CPUs, as well as its Intel Arc series of GPUs. The Open Source Technology Center at Intel hosts PowerTOP and LatencyTOP, and supports other open source projects such as Wayland, Mesa, Threading Building Blocks (TBB), and Xen.

Intel (Integrated electronics) was founded on July 18, 1968, by semiconductor pioneers Gordon Moore (of Moore's law) and Robert Noyce, along with investor Arthur Rock, and is associated with the executive leadership and vision of Andrew Grove. The company was a key component of the rise of Silicon Valley as a high-tech center, as well as being an early developer of SRAM and DRAM memory chips, which represented the majority of its business until 1981. Although Intel created the world's first commercial microprocessor chip—the Intel 4004—in 1971, it was not until the success of the PC in the early 1990s that this became its primary business.

During the 1990s, the partnership between Microsoft Windows and Intel, known as "Wintel", became instrumental in shaping the PC landscape and solidified Intel's position on the market. As a result, Intel invested heavily in new microprocessor designs in the mid to late 1990s, fostering the rapid growth of the computer industry. During this period, it became the dominant supplier of PC microprocessors, with a market share of 90%, and was known for aggressive and anti-competitive tactics in defense of its market position, particularly against AMD, as well as a struggle with Microsoft for control over the direction of the PC industry.

Since the 2000s and especially since the late 2010s, Intel has faced increasing competition, which has led to a reduction in Intel's dominance and market share in the PC market. Nevertheless, with a 68.4% market share as of 2023, Intel still leads the x86 market by a wide margin. In addition, Intel's ability to design and manufacture its own chips is considered a rarity in the semiconductor industry, as most chip designers do not have their own production facilities and instead rely on contract manufacturers (e.g. AMD and Nvidia).

Silver is a chemical element; it has symbol Ag (from Latin argentum 'silver', derived from Proto-Indo-European *h₂erǵ 'shiny, white') and atomic number 47. A soft, white, lustrous transition metal, it exhibits the highest electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and reflectivity of any metal. Silver is found in the Earth's crust in the pure, free elemental form ("native silver"), as an alloy with gold and other metals, and in minerals such as argentite and chlorargyrite. Most silver is produced as a byproduct of copper, gold, lead, and zinc refining.

Silver has long been valued as a precious metal. Silver metal is used in many bullion coins, sometimes alongside gold: while it is more abundant than gold, it is much less abundant as a native metal. Its purity is typically measured on a per-mille basis; a 94%-pure alloy is described as "0.940 fine". As one of the seven metals of antiquity, silver has had an enduring role in most human cultures.

Other than in currency and as an investment medium (coins and bullion), silver is used in solar panels, water filtration, jewellery, ornaments, high-value tableware and utensils (hence the term "silverware"), in electrical contacts and conductors, in specialized mirrors, window coatings, in catalysis of chemical reactions, as a colorant in stained glass, and in specialized confectionery. Its compounds are used in photographic and X-ray film. Dilute solutions of silver nitrate and other silver compounds are used as disinfectants and microbiocides (oligodynamic effect), added to bandages, wound-dressings, catheters, and other medical instruments.

I really like this laptop. It’s the perfect size for on the go. It was really easy to set up. I had to do some windows updates but it took less than 10 minutes. The free trial of McAfee was already expired but I was able to reapply for it. Overall it’s exactly what I need to work from home on special projects and/or watch a movie when others prefer to watch something else on the big TV. I highly recommend.

This small laptop seems to be very fast. It turns on and off very quickly. It’s great with programs and for surfing the internet. It’s also great for watching videos. The Display is great, too. It has a very clear screen. It’s also light and easy to carry. I’m sure it will be great for many people.

My biggest negative about this laptop is, it doesn’t have a DVDRW drive. So, you can’t play CD”s or watch DVD’s or burn files unless you buy a USB DVDRW separately.

If you read the description before you buy it, you will know exactly what you’re getting and if it is right for your needs.

Set up is easy, speaker volume is good. I have a bigger laptop that is hard to carry around and doesn’t fit in most backpacks and cases. This one is smaller and perfect to carry. It’s slim and lightweight. I have decided to let my nine year old use this one for school. It performs very well, above average for day to day activities, like checking emails, surfing the web, watching videos, gaming, etc. Unlike other reviews, the fan on mine does not seem loud at all. *laptop is pictured with a PS4 controller to show size.

What an amazing computer for the price! The storage is great, and even better when you download Microsoft 365 you automatically get 1T of cloud storage. Great large screen and vivid pixels with upgraded technology since I last purchased a laptop. I was able to use voice commands to set up my computer out the box, the entire process took 5 minutes IF that! The computer runs on Intel i5 which is a solid processor for everyday use and working from home. This laptop comes with two microphones and advanced noise reduction software, you’ll always sound crystal clear when you video chat or record. It also has HP Fast Charge: Go from 0 to 50% charge in approximately 45 minutes. Lastly, it has a built-in webcam which is great for skyping video calls. Solid laptop that I’m extremely happy with! You cannot find a better deal for the price!

Omg this laptop is bigger than my 11.5 inch old one it’s silver/grey, the buttons are smooth and flat. The screen is a 14inch which gives me enough screen to view everything, it’s fast and connected to my mobile hotspot quickly. It even talks you through the setup process which really helps.

Excellent gadget. It runs very fast and it’s totally a great deal. Highly recommended. It doesn’t weight as my past laptop. You don’t feel lile carrying a computer. Great option for this home-thing of the pandemic.

I’m really enjoying using this HP. Thought the small size would turn me off but it doesn’t.

I’ve been using computers since 1997. When this came up I knew I had to try it out.

I love the metal keyboard, it just makes a laptop look so much nicer. This keyboard has little indicator lights that light up when you have caps on and is white. The sound keys, which there are 3, when muted it has an orange light. The lettering is easy to see and the keyboard is very quiet. The ‘F’ key has a long mark and so does the ‘J’ so they’re easy to find during touch typing.

The screen is very sharp, color is excellent. There are no 2.0 USB ports thank goodness. It has a Gen 1 type – C USB port, it has 2 – 3.1 Gen 1 type – A ports, regular USB ports, I HDMI for gaming, I AC smart pin, I headphone, microphone jack that a combo jack. I multi-format SD card reader. No optical drive for CDs. Those can be purchased easily and they don’t cost a lot.

The processor, Intel Core i5 and the 256GB SSD is what impresses me the most. SSD drives are silent, no clicking like the platter drives of old and they are faster. Intel Core i5 @1.00GHz, 4 cores is fine for the size of this laptop. If you want to game, go bigger with more GHz in your processor.

It does have Bluetooth 5 and a Realtek 802.11b/g/n/ac wireless connection. No connection for wired ethernet. It does have a 720p HD camera. dual speakers, and 3 cell notebook battery which they say is all – day life. It has 8GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM, yeah that’s good if you’re asking.

I loaded a program into this HP and it’s over 600MB. It loaded much quicker than my 5 year old desktop computer. Other than that, I have upgraded the Microsoft Edge but very little else. I like playing solitaire on it. It does come preloaded with McAfee Livesafe and some other programs, but they don’t bother you by asking you a lot of stuff. You do need to fill in the McAfee LiveSafe personal information. It does automatically update itself. It’s a 30 day trial on that.

It comes with Windows 10 home and it was a breeze to setup with Cortana’s help. Answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and very little keyboard work is needed. Much simpler and way easier to to setup and much faster than my old desktop.

I can see this is perfect for the student or for someone who wants to have a small computer without all the bulk of a desktop. It’s easy to setup, it’s not but a little over 3 pounds, it’s a great size personal size. just a little over 12″ by near 9″ by about 3/4 inches thick. It was easy to add a mouse, which I prefer. I also have hooked up a Samsung 5 SSD to see how it does with it and there was no lag that I saw, it was fast to ‘find’ it and me to use it.

I’ve not found anything that I dislike about it and I’ve tried. I love this little HP.

For the older generation, this has some new card games on it that you will love. For the younger generation, it boots up fast as well as shuts down fast. Everything I have tried has not slowed it down in the least. I am used to having a left/right click, which this computer doesn’t have, but there’s no need for it. The Windows 10 is very user-friendly and has enough memory and space on the hard drive to load any games or program that you want. Highly recommended.

With another year of virtual school looming on the horizon, I was so happy to get this laptop. It’s the perfect size and has all the perfect specifications for helping my first grader complete another year of virtual work. It has plenty of storage space and memory. It works quickly and efficiently. Set up was quick and easy and contained all the features we need.

The laptop is lightweight and easy to move from one place to another–even for my first grader! The screen is large enough for classroom videos, but the laptop is small enough to fit worksheets and manipulatives on the desk. The onboard video camera is great for video calls with his class and teacher–and even grandparents and friends!

A must have device for any family starting another year of virtual school!
