This carpet cleaner is the best that I have bought. I brought my model about a year ago. I have owned several different brands and haven’t been happy with each performance or the weight. This machine seems to be lighter, disburses the cleaning solution automatically and indicates whether it is in a cleaning mode or drying when the machine is pulled backwards. No sore fingers from pushing the solution lever. Also has a dry only mode. The suction is so great it picks up the dirt from the carpet padding. I was amazed how it deep cleaned. What I didn’t like was the size of the various containers, the water and dirty water containers maybe have a 1/2 gallon capacity. I would like to see larger containers to prolong the need to refill or empty. One other dislike is with the dirty water, there are pockets in the top and insides of the container where dirt can accumulate which requires additional water and time to be used to rinse the container, these areas should be closed. Otherwise, I love this machine. This price is a great price, I paid $100 more on sale from another store.

I’ve owned a carpet cleaner, this being my third, for 30 years now. Saying that they have evolved is an understatement. My cleaners have been used regularly raising four kids and some dogs. My second cleaner is on its way out so it was time to start searching. I went with this hoover by the reviews and the holiday price. I clean my carpets monthly and sometimes more often for spills and accidents. I have goldens that love to bring in the mud despite my best attempt to clean them off. Yesterday I opened the box and decided to give it a try. Assembly, 10/10. Quick assembly directions are on the inside of the box lid, and yes it does come with an instruction book. Then I became concerned. The water chamber is half the size I’m used to. I’m also used to being able switch to water only for a quick rinse. This machine does not have this option however after reading the instructions you just pull out the chamber that has the cleaner then you can rinse your carpet. The half size capacity of what I’m accustomed to did make more work. Lots of dumping and refilling the water chamber. When it comes to getting my carpets clean 10/10. I was shocked at how well the roller brushes cleaned the carpet. However, I kept going over it until the water was clear. Now it comes to cleaning the machine. 10/10. I’ve never owned a machine you could completely disassemble and clean. The cover over the spinning brushes pops off and you can remove the roller brushes and clean it all. Any one who owns long haired pets understands how important this is. My old machines had hair in them that I could never remove. After I removed all the hair, washed everything with dawn dish soap and reassembled, it looked new. I can not comment on the attachments because I did not use them. It does have a carrying handle and the cord wind up is on the side. My last cleaner is around 15 years old and is solid. This hoover is a light weight but gets the job done. Time will tell how long this one will last. For the price point that I got it at, I can’t complain. Bottom line…easy assembly, took out a lot of dried mud and normal spills without any pretreatment and was easy to clean. For me, repeating slowly was key for the brushes to get out all the dirt then suck up the water. Cord wise, I think the length is normal for a cleaner but could always be longer. Did not use the cleaner samples that came with the machine so I can not review those as well. I used a different brand of pet carpet shampoo that I’ve used for years. Very pleased with this purchase.
