Bears are carnivoran mammals of the family Ursidae (). They are classified as caniforms, or doglike carnivorans. Although only eight species of bears are extant, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout most of the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere. Bears are found on the continents of North America, South America, and Eurasia. Common characteristics of modern bears include large bodies with stocky legs, long snouts, small rounded ears, shaggy hair, plantigrade paws with five nonretractile claws, and short tails.
While the polar bear is mostly carnivorous, and the giant panda is mostly herbivorous, the remaining six species are omnivorous with varying diets. With the exception of courting individuals and mothers with their young, bears are typically solitary animals. They may be diurnal or nocturnal and have an excellent sense of smell. Despite their heavy build and awkward gait, they are adept runners, climbers, and swimmers. Bears use shelters, such as caves and logs, as their dens; most species occupy their dens during the winter for a long period of hibernation, up to 100 days.
Bears have been hunted since prehistoric times for their meat and fur; they have also been used for bear-baiting and other forms of entertainment, such as being made to dance. With their powerful physical presence, they play a prominent role in the arts, mythology, and other cultural aspects of various human societies. In modern times, bears have come under pressure through encroachment on their habitats and illegal trade in bear parts, including the Asian bile bear market. The IUCN lists six bear species as vulnerable or endangered, and even least concern species, such as the brown bear, are at risk of extirpation in certain countries. The poaching and international trade of these most threatened populations are prohibited, but still ongoing.
Cooling is removal of heat, usually resulting in a lower temperature and/or phase change. Temperature lowering achieved by any other means may also be called cooling. The transfer of thermal energy may occur via thermal radiation, heat conduction or convection. Examples can be as simple as reducing temperature of a coffee.
In political and sociological theory, the elite (French: élite, from Latin: eligere, to select or to sort out) are a small group of powerful people who hold a disproportionate amount of wealth, privilege, political power, or skill in a group. Defined by the Cambridge Dictionary, the "elite" are "the richest, most powerful, best-educated, or best-trained group in a society".
American sociologist C. Wright Mills states that members of the elite accept their fellows' position of importance in society. "As a rule, 'they accept one another, understand one another, marry one another, tend to work, and to think, if not together at least alike'." It is a well-regulated existence where education plays a critical role.

A mattress is a large, usually rectangular pad for supporting a person lying down, especially for sleeping. It is designed to be used as a bed, or on a bed frame as part of a bed. Mattresses may consist of a quilted or similarly fastened case, usually of heavy cloth, containing materials such as hair, straw, cotton, foam rubber, or a framework of metal springs. Mattresses may also be filled with air or water.
Mattresses are usually placed on top of a bed base which may be solid, as in the case of a platform bed, or elastic, such as an upholstered wood and wire box spring or a slatted foundation. Popular in Europe, a divan incorporates both mattress and foundation in a single upholstered, footed unit. Divans have at least one innerspring layer as well as cushioning materials. They may be supplied with a secondary mattress or a removable "topper". Mattresses may also be filled with air or water, or a variety of natural fibers, such as in futons. Kapok is a common mattress material in Southeast Asia, and coir in South Asia.

Sleeping so much better now! Perfect mix of firm/soft for us!

I like a soft mattress, but I sleep WAY hot. (Welcome to your 40s, ladies.) After reading lots and lots of reviews –including reviews of Bear’s customer service and returns policy — I decided it was time to move on from my Tempurpedic Cloud mattress and try the Elite Hybrid Luxury Plush. Honestly: great decision. I’m sleeping a ton better. There was an adjustment period going from a foam mattress to one with springs again, but it was worth it. I even put a blanket on my bed! Your sleep is an important investment. If you’re not sleeping, everything else is trash. Read Less

My husband and I had an all memory foam mattress that we purchased 12 years ago and needed replaced. We are in our 30’s and mountain bike. He is average weight, but I am over 230. We initially purchased the Bear Pro since it was all memory foam. We had a ton of back pain that persisted even after two weeks, so we ordered the Pro Topper. Even with the topper, we continued to experience severe back pain. We reached out to Bear and decided to trial the Hybrid Elite Plush. We were nervous about ordering a plush, however once we received it our pain was immediately relieved the first night. The Elite Plush was able to give us instantaneous relief on all of our painful spots but still provided the “firm” support that we were looking for to ensure the longevity of the mattress. It has been great for both my husband and I. The Pro was just too firm for us, and even though this one is rated Plush, I would consider it Medium.

This mattress is exactly what we were looking for. We are both sleeping so much more soundly. No more waking up throughout the night multiple times and struggling to fall back to sleep. My fitness tracker is telling me that my sleep scores are now in the 90s…never happened before this bed. And my stiffness and soreness are so much less in the morning. Bottom line…highly recommend!

Wow. The best sleep I’ve had in YEARS!!! My two year old even cuddles on this thing. The best investment, so glad we went for the elite.
