I stained the board with a clear matte finish poly and it looks great. I’ve had it for 2 years but within 2 months of purchasing there was a split between to joined blocks. It is very visible in the middle-edge. Not sure how to repair other than maybe wood filler? This is the reason I took off a star. I use the table top for a desk so I can work around it but I would have been very upset if I were using this as a kitchen countertop and split.

When I read the reviews, there are a few that gave it a 1 star. The countertop is made of wood and wood is just not perfect. It was a little warped but when I installed it I used screws in just a few places and it laid flat. It looks beautiful! I used a matt finish, looks amazing. Now I need to finish the walls with ship lap and paint the cabinets!
