A bassinet, bassinette, or cradle is a bed specifically for babies from birth to about four months. Bassinets are generally designed to work with fixed legs or caster wheels, while cradles are generally designed to provide a rocking or gliding motion. Bassinets and cradles are distinguished from Moses baskets and carry cots, which are designed to be carried and sit directly on the floor or furniture. After four months, babies are often transferred to a crib (American usage) or cot (UK usage). In the United States, however, the bedside sleeper is the prevalent option, since they are generally bigger, recommended up to 6 months, and often used up to a year.
A sleeper is a person who is sleeping.

Got this when my baby was 7 weeks old after deciding it was time to try anything to get some sleep. She only wanted to be held to sleep and I was so sleep deprived I decided to get this. Thank god I did! Baby girl has been sleeping through the night in this and I am getting some much needed rest!

The SNOO is my #1 recommendation to my new parent friends (although, I strongly suggest looking into the rental option for price and convenience…). My 5 month old has been sleeping 5-6 hour stretches since month 4 with no sleep training, and last week started to get longer 8 hour stretches. The app is intuitive and it’s fun to track her progress, or share the rough night readouts with friends who can commiserate![😉](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f609.svg)

This bassinet is amazing. It sleep trains your baby without having to sleep train.

At 3.5 weeks we were desperate for more sleep. Our baby girl was sleeping 1-2 hour stretches and did not like being in her bassinet. She would roll over and wake herself up – also roll over and have her face in the side of the bassinet we were using before the SNOO. The first night we got the SNOO she slept 4.5 hours – she’s slept 7 hours at 5 weeks and consistently sleeps 5. I sleep better knowing she can’t roll over and suffocate. Best purchase we’ve made as a FTM hands dow.
