Citygate (Chinese: 東薈城) is a commercial complex at the town centre of Tung Chung, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It comprises a shopping centre called Citygate Outlets, an office tower, and the Novotel Citygate hotel.

When it first opened for business in 2000, the shopping centre component was simply known as Citygate. Following a major shift in market position, the mall renamed itself Citygate Outlets in August 2006.

A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Facilities provided inside a hotel room may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a refrigerator, and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, a flat-screen television, and en-suite bathrooms. Small, lower-priced hotels may offer only the most basic guest services and facilities. Larger, higher-priced hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, a business center with computers, printers, and other office equipment, childcare, conference and event facilities, tennis or basketball courts, gymnasium, restaurants, day spa, and social function services. Hotel rooms are usually numbered (or named in some smaller hotels and B&Bs) to allow guests to identify their room. Some boutique, high-end hotels have custom decorated rooms. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In Japan, capsule hotels provide a tiny room suitable only for sleeping and shared bathroom facilities.

The precursor to the modern hotel was the inn of medieval Europe. For a period of about 200 years from the mid-17th century, coaching inns served as a place for lodging for coach travelers. Inns began to cater to wealthier clients in the mid-18th century. One of the first hotels in a modern sense was opened in Exeter in 1768. Hotels proliferated throughout Western Europe and North America in the early 19th century, and luxury hotels began to spring up in the later part of the 19th century, paricularly in the United States.

Hotel operations vary in size, function, complexity, and cost. Most hotels and major hospitality companies have set industry standards to classify hotel types. An upscale full-service hotel facility offers luxury amenities, full-service accommodations, an on-site restaurant, and the highest level of personalized service, such as a concierge, room service, and clothes-ironing staff. Full-service hotels often contain upscale full-service facilities with many full-service accommodations, an on-site full-service restaurant, and a variety of on-site amenities. Boutique hotels are smaller independent, non-branded hotels that often contain upscale facilities. Small to medium-sized hotel establishments offer a limited amount of on-site amenities. Economy hotels are small to medium-sized hotel establishments that offer basic accommodations with little to no services. Extended stay hotels are small to medium-sized hotels that offer longer-term full-service accommodations compared to a traditional hotel.

Timeshare and destination clubs are a form of property ownership involving ownership of an individual unit of accommodation for seasonal usage. A motel is a small-sized low-rise lodging with direct access to individual rooms from the car parking area. Boutique hotels are typically hotels with a unique environment or intimate setting. A number of hotels and motels have entered the public consciousness through popular culture. Some hotels are built specifically as destinations in themselves, for example casinos and holiday resorts.

Most hotel establishments are run by a general manager who serves as the head executive (often referred to as the "hotel manager"), department heads who oversee various departments within a hotel (e.g., food service), middle managers, administrative staff, and line-level supervisors. The organizational chart and volume of job positions and hierarchy varies by hotel size, function and class, and is often determined by hotel ownership and managing companies.

Novotel is a French midscale hotel brand owned by Accor. Created in 1967 in France, the company grew into what became the Accor group in 1983, and Novotel remained a pillar brand of Accor's multi-brand strategy. Novotel manages 559 hotels in 65 countries (2021). Since 2010, Novotel also includes the apartment hotel brand Novotel Suites.

A staycation (a portmanteau of "stay" and "vacation"), or holistay (a portmanteau of "holiday" and "stay"), is a period in which an individual or family stays home and participates in leisure activities within day trip distance of their home and does not require overnight accommodation. In British English, the term has increasingly come to refer to domestic tourism: taking a holiday in one's own country as opposed to traveling abroad.

Common activities of a staycation include the use of a backyard pool, visits to local parks and museums, and attendance at local festivals and amusement parks. Some staycationers also like to follow a set of rules, such as setting a start and end date, planning ahead, and avoiding routine, with the goal of creating the feel of a traditional vacation.

Staycations achieved popularity in the U.S. during the financial crisis of 2007–2010. In 2020 staycations became common due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This stay celebrates the anniversary. The hotel delivered chocolate desserts. The room was comfortable without a bathtub but it was OK. Since there is no dine-in after 6:00 pm, seafood is delivered to the room. The meal is enough for 2 people. Lunch and breakfast are available in the hotel restaurant. All in all, this stay was very good and comfortable.

Cost-effective, girlfriends are very satisfied with the arrangement✌🏻 Klook is a travel service platform that allows travelers to easily order itineraries, activities, travel experiences, etc. online, and generally the price booked on Klook will be cheaper and more cost-effective than the official website. Chinese and English customer service. If you don’t understand anything during the booking process, you can also ask customer service immediately.

Although the executive suite is a bit more expensive, it is worth a try. Not only is the service good, but the room has an oversized bathroom. At the same time, you can use the lounge, coffee snacks, etc., looking at the sea view and 360. The afternoon tea is poor, cookies, cakes and half sandwiches are not tasty, don’t expect. Breakfast and dinner are good, and suites are generally the best choice.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is connected to Citygate shopping mall and directly connected to Tung Chung Station. There are large outlets downstairs for shopping, and there are many tourist attractions nearby. It is very convenient to go to Changsha Beach on Lantau Island and take the Ngong Ping 360 cable car to Po Lin Monastery. On the hotel side, the front desk service is cordial and polite. I would like to praise the front desk clerk Natalie and colleagues, very polite and kind. The hotel buffet is relatively simple, but at this price, it is very good value, cost-effective, and the restaurant waiters are attentive and very polite. The room is indeed a bit old, but the view is first-rate, very clean and has a sense of space. In addition, there is a rest park outside the hotel. In the morning, you can take a morning walk or take children to play Qianqiu. This four-star hotel, coupled with the efforts of the staff, can be said to be 4.5 stars, it is worth staying in 👍👍
