Light, visible light, or visible radiation is electromagnetic radiation that can be perceived by the human eye. Visible light spans the visible spectrum and is usually defined as having wavelengths in the range of 400–700 nanometres (nm), corresponding to frequencies of 750–420 terahertz. The visible band sits adjacent to the infrared (with longer wavelengths and lower frequencies) and the ultraviolet (with shorter wavelengths and higher frequencies), called collectively optical radiation.

In physics, the term "light" may refer more broadly to electromagnetic radiation of any wavelength, whether visible or not. In this sense, gamma rays, X-rays, microwaves and radio waves are also light. The primary properties of light are intensity, propagation direction, frequency or wavelength spectrum, and polarization. Its speed in vacuum, 299792458 m/s, is one of the fundamental constants of nature. Like all types of electromagnetic radiation, visible light propagates by massless elementary particles called photons that represents the quanta of electromagnetic field, and can be analyzed as both waves and particles. The study of light, known as optics, is an important research area in modern physics.

The main source of natural light on Earth is the Sun. Historically, another important source of light for humans has been fire, from ancient campfires to modern kerosene lamps. With the development of electric lights and power systems, electric lighting has effectively replaced firelight.

Smart may refer to a high level of intelligence or "street smarts".

"Smart" or SMART may also refer to the following.

White is the lightest color and is achromatic (having no hue). It is the color of objects such as snow, chalk, and milk, and is the opposite of black. White objects fully reflect and scatter all the visible wavelengths of light. White on television and computer screens is created by a mixture of red, blue, and green light. The color white can be given with white pigments, especially titanium dioxide.

In ancient Egypt and ancient Rome, priestesses wore white as a symbol of purity, and Romans wore white togas as symbols of citizenship. In the Middle Ages and Renaissance a white unicorn symbolized chastity, and a white lamb sacrifice and purity. It was the royal color of the kings of France as well as the flag of monachist France from 1815 to 1830, and of the monarchist movement that opposed the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War (1917–1922). Greek temples and Roman temples were faced with white marble, and beginning in the 18th century, with the advent of neoclassical architecture, white became the most common color of new churches, capitols, and other government buildings, especially in the United States. It was also widely used in 20th century modern architecture as a symbol of modernity and simplicity.

According to surveys in Europe and the United States, white is the color most often associated with perfection, the good, honesty, cleanliness, the beginning, the new, neutrality, and exactitude. White is an important color for almost all world religions. The pope, the head of the Roman Catholic Church, has worn white since 1566, as a symbol of purity and sacrifice. In Islam, and in the Shinto religion of Japan, it is worn by pilgrims. In Western cultures and in Japan, white is the most common color for wedding dresses, symbolizing purity and virginity. In many Asian cultures, white is also the color of mourning.

These “EcoSmart 32 ft. Smart RGB and Tunable White Strip Light ” is a really cool item. These are coated for outdoor use or indoor, which I used them for. It came with everything needed to install them on my kids wall and ceiling. so far the sticky tabs have not come loose. I do suggest putting the hole roll in a warm place first to make them a bit more pliable, since these have the outdoor use coating they are a little stiff. Take you time and clean the areas very well with water and alcohol solution. Space out the stabs equally and do you best to hide the black extended poser wires. The remote comes with a battery and the smart app is real easy to use and control everything from: color, dimming, effects, on off. You do need to be in front of the controller to work correctly. Wifi Connection was quick and easy and I have not lost wifi like other light controlled apps which drive me nuts! My kids room is really cool and he loves changing the lights from day time to night . they have not been turned off since install and still bright.

This was a very east install. Directions weren’t really needed as it is a simple plug in and mount wherever you want. It is advertised as water resistant, but I have it mounted inside my kids bedroom along the ceiling. I do appreciate the clear design and clear mounting clips. You almost cant see it against the white crown molding. The mounts can be stuck on with the provided mounts, or screws on. Personally, I would screw the mounts on because this is a lot of weight in my particular application. The only thing I did not care for was the black power box. It would be better if it was white to hide better. If I had mounted on the floor, it might not have been as noticeable.

This is an awesome LED strip light. The light can be used both indoors and outdoors. The lighting set comes with a wireless remote along with several mounting brackets. The light strip also has adhesive tape on the back side which is nice for indoors. The lights can be controlled by any of the smart platforms. (Alexa, Google Assistant, etc). The light strip is also dimmable which is an awesome feature. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for an accent lighting upgrade. This is a very fun product!!

Picked up the EcoSmart 32ft smart RGB light strip to add some life and dimension to my shelves of records in my music corner. This light strip is very easy to use straight out of the box and might be the easiest light strip setup I’ve ever used. Hubspace is great and made setup a breeze – I look forward to adding more Hubspace products to my home in the future. To setup, simply download the Hubspace app and scan the QR code on the plug and the app takes care of the rest. Pros: This light strip is easy to set up. It’s also very bright, both with white lights and the colored lights. 32 feet is a great length to light up large areas. The remote is very responsive as long as it has a clear view of the built in command box on the cord, making it easy to dim, change colors, and change modes. The smart phone app is very easy to use for when the remote is out of reach, and is very intuitive. This light strip is also rated for outdoor wet use, so those that want to have RGB lighting outdoors would find great uses for this. Cons: The strip is very thick and therefore it is not easy to bend or turn corners. If you’re looking for straight lines, this won’t matter to you, but for my use case it was a little difficult to fit where I wanted it. This light strip is also not cuttable or linkable – that means if you don’t need 32 feet, you should get a shorter strip and if you need more than 32 feet you will need multiple full strips and plugs. It would be great if you could link these together with extensions. Finally, these lights are either on or off – it would be nice if you could have a scene that “dances” and responds to the beat of the music. Overall, this is a really good light strip for most use cases. With a few improvements, it would be a great light strip!

This is a high quality LED tape. Everything you need to install the lighting is included in the box – the light strip, the power plug, the remote, and clips to hold the tape in place plus the tape has an already attached adhesive band on the light strip itself. The lights are set in a heavy duty plastic (ie weatherproof) casing which does make them ideal for outdoor uses. When you select a color on this tape the selected color is every other “bulb” while the in between lights stay white or other warmth choices. It makes the different colors very easy on the eyes not overpowering. Pick your spot carefully, peel the adhesive, and you are up and running.

The light strip is a very thick vinyl with all the connections to the power cable sealed so it will last for a longer time outdoors. I actually first intended on trying as under cabinet lighting, but I would not recommend it for that – its to thick and bulky and can not be cut to size. So its best used outdoor, or even indoors in a long run. Because it was such a thick vinyl, it didnt lay very flat. So I would recommend you un-roll this and let it sit for a few hours to loosen so its easier to work with – it makes a big difference. It comes with a sticky back tape applied- but that was pretty useless- count on installing it with the plastic clips and screws that are included- these don’t look great so if you can position it to hide the , such as under a railing to trim piece – than it will look better. The hub-space app is free and easy to use, but I had a problem with it disconnecting from my light set every few minutes. I had to unplug to reset. All the color options work by remote anyway. I got this light strip to use in my home office. I wanted something that would give me much flexibility in terms of color and brightness. This light strip does exactly that. In addition, I can use the remote control to change the color, brightness, and even the speed of the lights. I can also use the EcoSmart app to control the lights remotely from my phone. The light strip is very easy to install. It has an adhesive backing, so you can peel and stick it to any surface. I installed behind the entertainment unit in my home office to brighten the unit. Overall, I’m pleased with this light strip. It’s a great way to add color and personality to any room.

This strip light has a variety of colors to choose from. You can vary the brightness using the provided remote and app. There are clips provided for ease of mounting. Using the app gives you more control of the light strip from brightness to colors and presets. I had a little trouble connecting to my wifi when setting up the app on my phone. It took a number of tries but finally got it connected. I believe the issue is because this light strip requires a 2.4 ghz connection and I have a mesh system with 5 and 2.4 ghz so when connecting, I could not choose 2.4 ghz on my wifi system. Thankfully it did get sorted out automatically and got connected. The app works great after that. Although this is rated for outdoor use, I did not test it for that.

This is a lengthy powered light strip. The light strip is controllable by either the Hubspace app or remote. I like that I don’t have to download another app to control a light. The light strip is easy to attach to the underside of the roof. However, 32 feet is all you get. You cannot link this to another light strip. The LED lights are bright and can be use outdoors.

I received this item several a days ago and I finally had time to check it out. The packing was protective and I began to assemble to contents. The parts went together easily and the connections were tight. After reading the text included I checked out to remote, removed the safety tab and found it was fairly easy to master. The text does state to avoid making and sharp turns less that 60 degrees. This may be a problem for some that need to make a sharp turn for a cleaner installation. I will be forced to make another choice for placement. I have heard thru others that it can be cut to length but the text states no. The strip comes with a good layer of double stick tape, removing can be a bit tricky just on pull off what you can adhere as it will only stick to itself. . Utilizing this tape in the past I know that the surface needs to be cleaned with alcohol and need to wait until dry. Also, it makes note that the clips should be used and I agree. They will help to keep the strip in place again with double stick tape and the screws provided. When the strip is pushed in the tabs, there will be a slight bump in the insulation but from a distance will be unnoticeable. It can also be controlled by smart phone if you have one if not the remote works fine, just don’t lose it as it is on the small side. The strip will be best utilized in a dry location as the power supply is not water tight. My set will utilized in the kitchen as under cabinet lighting and the color palate will keep things interesting. The strip can be kept clean with a damp cloth. Keep in mind that the remote will have to be pointed at the IR on the power cord. Other than a few items, I can rate this as a strong 4+. In conclusion, the two year warranty should be adequate and will last many years long into the future.
