This is really an amazing purification system – it is not a FAN. It does blow some air but to call it a fan would be a mistake. We have other purifiers but this one really makes a difference.

I live in Central California – smoggy and wildfires. I love that I can track the various pollutants. It does a great job at purifying the air quickly. It also helps me to see which cleaning products I’m using are toxic. I had no idea how many things have formaldehyde in them. This is the second Dyson air purifier that I have. I bought the last version a year ago and it’s in my bedroom now. Highly recommend. Worth the cost. Love the app as well.

We were experiencing air quality over 400 due to wildfires in Northern California. I got online and reviewed the different Dyson air purifiers available at Best Buy. I settled on an HP-09 even though it was quite expensive because my wife was struggling with the air quality. After ordering it, I drove 1-1/2 hours to pick it up. Upon reaching the Best Buy store, I called them to let them know I had arrived for curbside pick up. Within about 4 minutes the associate brought the unit out, verified my purchase information and placed it in my trunk.
After arriving back at our home I set the unit up in about 15 minutes (most of that time was reading directions) and had it running quickly. I would suggest carefully following directions for installing the filter cartridges or you will bend the ears locking the cartridges in. Then install the metal covers. Also, be very careful to find the little remote that operates the unit unless you are using the app on your phone or pad. Note that when you are storing the remote on the top of the unit place it face down so the slight curve of the remote fits the curve at the top of the unit.
I put the unit on automatic and within a few hours the air quality in our living room was down to 20. Amazing! By the next morning most of the home was cleared up. It just keeps circulating the air until it pulls the bad air from everywhere or I guess you could move it around to different rooms.
It worked so well I drove the 2-1/2 hours to my Mom’s home and bought her one as well (and then only a hour hour drive to Best Buy this time). Just put it on automatic and it will adjust the speed up or down depending on need. Mom is now happy and at 100 years old that is important to me.
I also like the app on my iPhone and iPad (it also works with android equipment). Very detailed information on PM 2.5, PM 10, VOCs, formaldehyde and Nitrous oxides (burning natural gas or gasoline emissions). It even shows a graph of the air quality by color for different air quality levels.
The unit tells you when to change the cartridge. Replacement cartridges are very expensive (about $70.00), but we feel it is worth our health with all of these California wildfires caused by poor forest management.

I bought a dyson for all of the California wildfire smoke and it’s been a lifesaver. It reduces the particles and makes the air breathable in record time. Dyson customer service is top notch if you ever have a problem and I love how they stand behind their product. Probably the best customer service I’ve ever e periemced, I’m a customer for life!

I bought this for my bedroom which is kind of large, I have 2 dogs that sleep in there. I have a ceiling fan but this fan/purifier makes the room have no odor and the soft breeze enhances the temperature perfectly! I am so happy I made this purchase!!
