A dress (also known as a frock or a gown) is a one-piece outer garment that is worn on the torso and hangs down over the legs and is primarily worn by women or girls. Dresses often consist of a bodice attached to a skirt.
Dress shapes and silhouettes, textiles, and colors vary. Dresses can have sleeves of any length or can be sleeveless, and dresses can have any neckline. Similarly, dresses can have skirts of any length or hemline. These variances may be based on considerations such as fashion trends, modesty, weather, and personal taste. Dresses are generally suitable for both formal wear and casual wear in the West.
Historically, foundation garments and other structural garments—including items such as corsets, partlets, petticoats, panniers, bustles—were used to achieve the desired silhouette.
M, or m, is the thirteenth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of several western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is em (pronounced ), plural ems.
The neck is the part of the body in many vertebrates that connects the head to the torso. It supports the weight of the head and protects the nerves that transmit sensory and motor information between the brain and the rest of the body. Additionally, the neck is highly flexible, allowing the head to turn and move in all directions. Anatomically, the human neck is divided into four compartments: vertebral, visceral, and two vascular compartments. Within these compartments, the neck houses the cervical vertebrae, the cervical portion of the spinal cord, upper parts of the respiratory and digestive tracts, endocrine glands, nerves, arteries and veins. The muscles of the neck, which are separate from the compartments, form the boundaries of the neck triangles.
In anatomy, the neck is also referred to as the cervix or collum. However, when the term cervix is used alone, it often refers to the uterine cervix, the neck of the uterus. Therefore, the adjective cervical can refer either to the neck (as in cervical vertebrae or cervical lymph nodes) or to the uterine cervix (as in cervical cap or cervical cancer).
S, or for lowercase, s, is the nineteenth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and other latin alphabets worldwide. Its name in English is ess (pronounced ), plural esses.
Tie has two principal meanings:
- Tie (draw), a finish to a competition with identical results, particularly sports
- Necktie, a long piece of cloth worn around the neck or shoulders
Tie or TIE may also refer to:
V, or v, is the twenty-second letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is vee (pronounced ), plural vees.
The waist is the part of the abdomen between the rib cage and hips. Normally, it is the narrowest part of the torso.
Waistline refers to the horizontal line where the waist is narrowest, or to the general appearance of the waist.
X, or x, is the twenty-fourth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its name in English is ex (pronounced ), plural exes.

I love this dress; the cut, fit and style are perfect! The fabric weight is light and it washes well and doesn’t require ironing, it’s a win win from me!

I’m quite tall and this dress is short waisted on me but love the fresh print and decided to keep.

Absolutely love this new Ghost/M&S collaboration. I have 3 dresses now and they all fit and hang perfectly. This one in particular is well cut and hangs really nicely. Good weight in the material but light enough for summer. You can leave it untied for a relaxed feel or use the drawstring for a more fitted look. Super comfortable and a lovely vibrant green. Well done M&S, it was time for a new collaboration and this is spot on.

I am a 10/12 and bought a 12 but it was too big so tried 10 however decided the shoulder to waist was too long and not flattering.

The pictures on the website do not do this dress justice. Absolutely beautiful fit and the fabric is light but creates beautiful movement. Very elegant and a steal at the price.
