Katie is an English female name. It is a form of Katherine, Kate, Caitlin, Kathleen, Katey and their related forms. It is frequently used on its own.

Tea is an aromatic beverage prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured or fresh leaves of Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub native to East Asia which probably originated in the borderlands of southwestern China and northern Myanmar. Tea is also made, but rarely, from the leaves of Camellia taliensis. After plain water, tea is the most widely consumed drink in the world. There are many different types of tea; some have a cooling, slightly bitter, and astringent flavour, while others have profiles that include sweet, nutty, floral, or grassy notes. Tea has a stimulating effect in humans, primarily due to its caffeine content.

An early credible record of tea drinking dates to the third century AD, in a medical text written by Chinese physician Hua Tuo. It was popularised as a recreational drink during the Chinese Tang dynasty, and tea drinking subsequently spread to other East Asian countries. Portuguese priests and merchants introduced it to Europe during the 16th century. During the 17th century, drinking tea became fashionable among the English, who started to plant tea on a large scale in British India.

The term herbal tea refers to drinks not made from Camellia sinensis. They are the infusions of fruit, leaves, or other plant parts, such as steeps of rosehip, chamomile, or rooibos. These may be called tisanes or herbal infusions to prevent confusion with tea made from the tea plant.

Watts is plural for watt, the unit of power.

My friend absolutely loved getting this kit as a gift! She is a big fan of boba tea but didn’t have a lot of time or resources to indulge as a new mom. This was the perfect way to help her treat herself with one of her favorite things!

I sent this as a 30th wedding anniversary gift to my parents along with another gift for my step mom’s birthday. When the box was opened my Dad saw this and immediately claimed it as his own. He absolutely loved this treat.

Teas are an ancient drink for any ailment of the human body. This tea is a means of calming the mind and body after a tedious day of work and the black beans is a added punch for energy. Many people buy this tall drink for less than 2.00 with a wide, long straw and a long spoon. It’s just a healthy drink on a hot day with a group of friends.

I’ve gifted this twice now, one to my mom and one to a good friend of mine – both loved it and said the spices were super fresh and delicious. Definitely a hit! Just make sure that the person you’re gifting it to doesn’t mind a little up front work to earn it 🙂

We love having this at home since the nearest bubble tea is over 30 minutes from us. It’s delicious, easy to make (though does take some planning) and makes a ton, which makes the cost definitely worth it. Tastes just like the boba tea shop!
