Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. It lies between violet and cyan on the spectrum of visible light. The term blue generally describes colours perceived by humans observing light with a dominant wavelength that's between approximately 450 and 495 nanometres. Most blues contain a slight mixture of other colours; azure contains some green, while ultramarine contains some violet. The clear daytime sky and the deep sea appear blue because of an optical effect known as Rayleigh scattering. An optical effect called the Tyndall effect explains blue eyes. Distant objects appear more blue because of another optical effect called aerial perspective.

Blue has been an important colour in art and decoration since ancient times. The semi-precious stone lapis lazuli was used in ancient Egypt for jewellery and ornament and later, in the Renaissance, to make the pigment ultramarine, the most expensive of all pigments. In the eighth century Chinese artists used cobalt blue to colour fine blue and white porcelain. In the Middle Ages, European artists used it in the windows of cathedrals. Europeans wore clothing coloured with the vegetable dye woad until it was replaced by the finer indigo from America. In the 19th century, synthetic blue dyes and pigments gradually replaced organic dyes and mineral pigments. Dark blue became a common colour for military uniforms and later, in the late 20th century, for business suits. Because blue has commonly been associated with harmony, it was chosen as the colour of the flags of the United Nations and the European Union.

In the United States and Europe, blue is the colour that both men and women are most likely to choose as their favourite, with at least one recent survey showing the same across several other countries, including China, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Past surveys in the US and Europe have found that blue is the colour most commonly associated with harmony, confidence, masculinity, knowledge, intelligence, calmness, distance, infinity, the imagination, cold, and sadness.

Fire is the rapid oxidation of a material (the fuel) in the exothermic chemical process of combustion, releasing heat, light, and various reaction products. At a certain point in the combustion reaction, called the ignition point, flames are produced. The flame is the visible portion of the fire. Flames consist primarily of carbon dioxide, water vapor, oxygen and nitrogen. If hot enough, the gases may become ionized to produce plasma. Depending on the substances alight, and any impurities outside, the color of the flame and the fire's intensity will be different.

Fire, in its most common form, has the potential to result in conflagration, which can lead to physical damage, which can be permanent, through burning. Fire is a significant process that influences ecological systems worldwide. The positive effects of fire include stimulating growth and maintaining various ecological systems. Its negative effects include hazard to life and property, atmospheric pollution, and water contamination. When fire removes protective vegetation, heavy rainfall can contribute to increased soil erosion by water. Additionally, the burning of vegetation releases nitrogen into the atmosphere, unlike elements such as potassium and phosphorus which remain in the ash and are quickly recycled into the soil. This loss of nitrogen caused by a fire produces a long-term reduction in the fertility of the soil, which can be recovered as atmospheric nitrogen is fixed and converted to ammonia by natural phenomena such as lightning or by leguminous plants such as clover, peas, and green beans.

Fire is one of the four classical elements and has been used by humans in rituals, in agriculture for clearing land, for cooking, generating heat and light, for signaling, propulsion purposes, smelting, forging, incineration of waste, cremation, and as a weapon or mode of destruction.

This set is very sturdy and very comfortable. I really wanted 4 chairs and a table but had to settle for the fire pit but I’ll be using it mainly as a table to gather around. The chairs were easy for me to put together. Getting the chair pieces out of the box was the most difficult part because of the heavy duty taping & plastic but all that taping & plastic kept it safe in transport, so I shouldn’t complain. My son put the fire pit/table together for me, it is quite heavy when finished so it took a few folks to safely put it on the porch. The set is getting lots of complements.

We bought this set because we were able to see it in a store and check the quality and color in person. Everything is solid built and heavy duty. Easy to put together (fire table a bit harder). Great!

We recently purchased this fire pit set. It is not only beautiful – it’s extremely comfortable! The set was easy to put together and the cushions are well made and firm. The matching throw pillows add that perfect finishing touch to this set. We substituted fire glass in place of the lava stones the set came with for that extra bit of sparkle! I would definitely recommend this set!

The chairs and fire pit were easy to assemble. Total time with unpacking was about an hour. Extremely comfortable cushions. The set makes for a very warm setting under the 10’x12′ metal gazebo. The gazebo took the better part a 8 hours. Well fabricated, directions clear. No issues with all parts. I would suggest reviewing the directions and separating all the parts into groupings. Fabricate the upper roof and lift it assembled onto the lower roof. This will limit time spent up and down on a ladder. We enjoy the set every evening.

I love the fire pit chat set and I am looking forward to enjoying it this summer. However, the assembly of the fire pit table is a challenge. It took us a while to figure out that the screw holes on one of the panels of the table was on the wrong side. I had to buy a special adapter to make new screw holes. This is a quality control issue, in reading the reviews other buyers had the same problem.
