Beauty is commonly described as a feature of objects that makes them pleasurable to perceive. Such objects include landscapes, sunsets, humans and works of art. Beauty, art and taste are the main subjects of aesthetics, one of the fields of study within philosophy. As a positive aesthetic value, it is contrasted with ugliness as its negative counterpart.
One difficulty in understanding beauty is that it has both objective and subjective aspects: it is seen as a property of things but also as depending on the emotional response of observers. Because of its subjective side, beauty is said to be "in the eye of the beholder". It has been argued that the ability on the side of the subject needed to perceive and judge beauty, sometimes referred to as the "sense of taste", can be trained and that the verdicts of experts coincide in the long run. This suggests the standards of validity of judgments of beauty are intersubjective, i.e. dependent on a group of judges, rather than fully subjective or objective.
Conceptions of beauty aim to capture what is essential to all beautiful things. Classical conceptions define beauty in terms of the relation between the beautiful object as a whole and its parts: the parts should stand in the right proportion to each other and thus compose an integrated harmonious whole. Hedonist conceptions see a necessary connection between pleasure and beauty, e.g. that for an object to be beautiful is for it to cause disinterested pleasure. Other conceptions include defining beautiful objects in terms of their value, of a loving attitude toward them or of their function.
A concealer or color corrector is a type of cosmetic that is used to mask imperfections on the skin. These imperfections can include dark circles under the eyes, blemishes, and hyperpigmentation. Concealer is similar to, and can be used in conjunction with foundation, a lighter cosmetic that is used to even out the skin tone. Both concealer and foundation are typically used to make skin appear smoother and more uniform in color. These two types of cosmetics differ in that concealers tend to be more heavily pigmented, though concealer and foundation are both available in a wide range of colors and opacities.
To use a concealer, an individual typically applies a small amount of product to the area of the skin that they want to cover. The concealer is then blended into the surrounding skin using a brush, sponge, or the fingertips to create a seamless finish. Concealers can be applied before or after foundation, depending on the desired effect. Applying concealer before foundation can help to create a more even canvas for the foundation, while applying concealer after foundation can help to touch up any areas that still require coverage.
Concealers comes in different forms such as liquid, cream, stick, pencil, and powder. The first commercially available concealer was Max Factor's Erace, launched in 1954. Camouflage makeup is a much heavier pigmented form of concealer. It is used to cover serious skin discolorations such as birthmarks, scars and vitiligo.
Concealer is available in a variety of shades. When picking a concealer, people tend to choose one or two shades lighter than their skin tone to better hide their blemishes and dark circles under the eye; once blended out and then set with a powder, it will be smooth and resemble more youthful skin. Some colors are intended to look like a natural skin tone, while others are meant to cancel out the color of a particular type of blemish. Concealers with yellow undertones are used to hide dark circles. Green and blue can counteract red patches on the skin, such as those caused by pimples, broken veins, or rosacea. A purple-tinted concealer can make sallow (yellowish) complexions look brighter.
Cosmetics are composed of mixtures of chemical compounds derived from either natural sources or synthetically created ones. Cosmetics have various purposes, including personal and skin care. They can also be used to conceal blemishes and enhance natural features (such as the eyebrows and eyelashes). Makeup can also add colour to a person's face, enhance a person's features or change the appearance of the face entirely to resemble a different person, creature, or object.
People have used cosmetics for thousands of years for skin care and appearance enhancement. Visible cosmetics for women and men have gone in and out of fashion over the centuries.
Some early forms of cosmetics used harmful ingredients such as lead that caused serious health problems and sometimes resulted in death. Modern commercial cosmetics are generally tested for safety but may contain controversial ingredients, such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), formaldehyde releasers, and ingredients that cause allergic reactions.
The European Union and regulatory agencies around the world have stringent regulations for cosmetics. In the United States, cosmetic products and ingredients do not require FDA approval. Some countries have banned using animals for cosmetic testing.

Lightweight yet buildable! So creamy and really covers my under eye circles. It hasn’t creased on me after a long day of wear so that’s a good sign. Will continue using this product !

This formula is a buildable medium coverage. It feels thin and does not crease under the eyes. The packaging is not only cute but is easy to hold and apply with. The applicator is soft and does not tug the under eye. Over all I would repurchase this.

Absolutely love it! Applies very smoothly. It covers my restless mama undereyes. Definitely try if you haven’t already

Benefit is a tried and true brand for me, so when I saw they had a new concealer I was super excited to try it. For reference, I have light to medium complexion and the shade cantaloupe was perfect for me! It did look light in the tube, but after applying it, it matched perfectly because I wanted a brightening under eye concealer. The shade cantaloupe has a yellow-olive undertone. It lasted me about 8 hours after I set it with some powder! I will definitely continue to use it. Also, the consistency is more on the liquidy side, so I let it dry down on my face before I buffed it in with my beauty blender. I found that that gave me the perfect coverage. Overall, I definitely recommend it as I am enjoying it! I received the concealer for free from Influenster and Benefit.

I normally just wear lipstick but I was excited to get this concealer. I love the cute container it comes in. They sent me the shade Walnut to try and it’s a workable shade for my skin tone. Big yes! I couldn’t just use this concealer by itself so I had to bust out with and blend it in with my all-over concealer. Once that was blended well I loved the effect! It definitely sealed the looked I was looking for — natural, bright-eyed, and even-toned. I recommend that when you do buy this product you- as with other facial makeup product- pick the right shade and blend, blend, blend!

This is a very nice product. I love the packaging it is super cute. The product is very hydrating and goes on smooth. Very easy to blend. Does seem to lessen dark circles. Could be slightly lighter shade for more brightening effect but I believe I already had lightest shade. Would definitely recommend and purchase another.

I love this concealer! First off the packaging is absolutely adorable. Secondly, it blends very nicely and doesn’t crease throughout the day. I love that it has a hydrating formula. Would be great for people with dry skin! I just wish I received a lighter shade since it was almost the same color as my foundation.
