For $530, this can’t be beat. RAM – 4gb soldered 4gb SODIMM, 3200 CL22. CPU – AFTER CHANGES (see below), I got 454/2900 Cinebench R20 single/multi core while plugged in. Overall, very snappy and responsive in real day to day usage. The heatsink is actually capable of holding boost clocks decently well for the size, and the fan isn’t annoyingly loud. Battery life – the 42Whr battery lasts you about 4-7 hours, depending on the nature of the task (lower for videos or reddit scrolling, higher for simple reading). If you use RyzenAdj to cripple the CPU performance/wattage, it can get 7-10 hours on battery life. GPU – the Vega iGPU isn’t enough to play modern games comfortably, but it can get by. CSGO Dust II with 7 bots ran at 90-160 FPS, about 120-130 FPS average, on 720p, and 70-110 FPS, or about 80-90 FPS average, on 1080p. Doesn’t feel buttery smooth – there’s significant latency – but it’s doable and would work with an fps limiter. Chassis – solid, hefty hunk of plastic. I don’t have doubts about the hinge – it’s firm, maybe a bit too firm, since it takes a bit of effort to open with one hand. The plastic is an oil/fingerprint magnet. Disassembly/upgradability – a P1 screwdriver can get you inside the chassis, where you can access the RAM, SSD, and Wifi card. RAM and SSD are under an unnecessarily taped-down heat shield that requires a lever to pop off. Wifi is easily accessible. I changed the ram to 8gb 2666 CL19, the wifi card from 8265 to 9260, and swapped out the thermal paste for Noctua NT-H1, and the process took less than half an hour. Note that if you upgrade the RAM, it will run at the lower of the two clocks and it will also run dual channel only for the first 4 4gb. Screen: Pretty mediocre and washed out, but you get what you paid for. I haven’t tried using a pen with it yet, but it looks like it should work with any MPP pen. Other: Fingerprint sensor is fast. No USB C charging is a bummer. Keyboard is pretty good. Sound isn’t exceptionally good quality but it’s adequately loud and doesn’t get distorted at higher volumes. Bloatware is minimal – there’s just mcafee and some asus specific software.

This laptop looked too good to be true. What stopped me from buying it at first was the lack of reviews. I decided to pull the trigger and 2 weeks later, here I am with this amazing laptop (I live far). It is now 6:24pm 5/20/21, and I had just unboxed it 2 hours ago. First impressions are great so far. No issues, super responsive. I am coming from a PC, with a Ryzen 7 2700x paired with an RTX 2070 and an M.2 NVMe SSD. I’m quite spoiled with the SSD. So far, this laptop has proven it’s worth and has blown me away for the $499 price tag (at the time). Viewing angles are superb and build quality is alright. I’m using it for work and web surfing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it could run a game or two considering it has the new Ryzen 5 5000 series processor! YA GOTTA LOVE RYZEN!

The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14″ is a wonderful, easy to use laptop. I was able to set up the laptop in under 15 minutes. It charges lightening fast and has held the charge for many days. I like that this laptop is very light weight which means I can easily take it with me for weekend getaways. It’s graphics have been great for my gaming too.

This 2 in 1 laptop is amazing! It’s pretty fast & easy to work with. Love how I can use it as a laptop then switch a tablet. When watching a video the speakers have good volume. The picture quality is amazing. Absolutely love this laptop!

This laptop is light weight and easy to carry. I really like how it can fold down to be a tablet. The keys are easy to use and I love the back light feature. I did buy a keyboard protector because this way I can keep dust and dog hair from getting under my keys. I really like this design. It’s perfect laptop for traveling. It didn’t take long to fully charge up. Once charge the set up was a breeze. I like how it has a Fingerprint reader so no one can get into my computer. Battery life is super long. This is a great laptop to own.
