Beauty is commonly described as a feature of objects that makes them pleasurable to perceive. Such objects include landscapes, sunsets, humans and works of art. Beauty, art and taste are the main subjects of aesthetics, one of the fields of study within philosophy. As a positive aesthetic value, it is contrasted with ugliness as its negative counterpart.
One difficulty in understanding beauty is that it has both objective and subjective aspects: it is seen as a property of things but also as depending on the emotional response of observers. Because of its subjective side, beauty is said to be "in the eye of the beholder". It has been argued that the ability on the side of the subject needed to perceive and judge beauty, sometimes referred to as the "sense of taste", can be trained and that the verdicts of experts coincide in the long run. This suggests the standards of validity of judgments of beauty are intersubjective, i.e. dependent on a group of judges, rather than fully subjective or objective.
Conceptions of beauty aim to capture what is essential to all beautiful things. Classical conceptions define beauty in terms of the relation between the beautiful object as a whole and its parts: the parts should stand in the right proportion to each other and thus compose an integrated harmonious whole. Hedonist conceptions see a necessary connection between pleasure and beauty, e.g. that for an object to be beautiful is for it to cause disinterested pleasure. Other conceptions include defining beautiful objects in terms of their value, of a loving attitude toward them or of their function.

In radiometry, radiance is the radiant flux emitted, reflected, transmitted or received by a given surface, per unit solid angle per unit projected area. Radiance is used to characterize diffuse emission and reflection of electromagnetic radiation, and to quantify emission of neutrinos and other particles. The SI unit of radiance is the watt per steradian per square metre (W·sr−1·m−2). It is a directional quantity: the radiance of a surface depends on the direction from which it is being observed.
The related quantity spectral radiance is the radiance of a surface per unit frequency or wavelength, depending on whether the spectrum is taken as a function of frequency or of wavelength.
Historically, radiance was called "intensity" and spectral radiance was called "specific intensity". Many fields still use this nomenclature. It is especially dominant in heat transfer, astrophysics and astronomy. "Intensity" has many other meanings in physics, with the most common being power per unit area (so the radiance is the intensity per solid angle in this case).

I received this serum as a sample birthday gift product back in January. I began using it daily, as the sample surprisingly had a 4 week amount inside the tiny sample bottle. My results began in the 2nd week of twice per day use. My face is resembling my 28 year old face and I’m 43 years old. I no longer have any fine lines, and my rosacea has decreased exponentially. This serum is exactly what my face has needed, definitely worth it’s price!

I’ve been using Lancôme’s Génifique for years. It really helps keep my aging skin smooth & soft!

After I learned collagen stops producing after 25 I started taking my skin care more seriously. I have been using this for over a year now and don’t see myself not using this. I’m almost 27 now and I have noticed a change in my overall fine lines. My neck began to crease more than my face but it is less noticeable after using this. Now I don’t have many wrinkles but I truly believe this will help me years down the road. I use this, the eye serum, the multi action night cream, and the sunscreen and my skin has this beautiful firm glow to it. I have very acne prone and this has not broke me out at all. Well worth the price!

I used this in my 20s and didn’t really think it did anything – now 30 with melasma and pre mature wrinkles and I use it RELIGIOUSLY!!! I have notice such a huge difference in the tone and texture of my skin since I started using this serum again! I barely have to wear foundation anymore because this serum has done wonders with my melasma and dark marks. I have sensitive dry acne prone skin and I have never found a vitamin C serum that didn’t irritate my skin. This has vitamin C in it and has totally transformed my skin! I have also noticed a big difference in the lines on my face and neck. 10/10!!!
