Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology standard that is used for exchanging data between fixed and mobile devices over short distances and building personal area networks (PANs). In the most widely used mode, transmission power is limited to 2.5 milliwatts, giving it a very short range of up to 10 metres (33 ft). It employs UHF radio waves in the ISM bands, from 2.402 GHz to 2.48 GHz. It is mainly used as an alternative to wired connections to exchange files between nearby portable devices and connect cell phones and music players with wireless headphones.
Bluetooth is managed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), which has more than 35,000 member companies in the areas of telecommunication, computing, networking, and consumer electronics. The IEEE standardized Bluetooth as IEEE 802.15.1 but no longer maintains the standard. The Bluetooth SIG oversees the development of the specification, manages the qualification program, and protects the trademarks. A manufacturer must meet Bluetooth SIG standards to market it as a Bluetooth device. A network of patents applies to the technology, which is licensed to individual qualifying devices. As of 2021, 4.7 billion Bluetooth integrated circuit chips are shipped annually. Bluetooth was first demonstrated in space in 2024, an early test envisioned to enhance IoT capabilities.
An emergency is an urgent, unexpected, and usually dangerous situation that poses an immediate risk to health, life, property, or environment and requires immediate action. Most emergencies require urgent intervention to prevent a worsening of the situation, although in some situations, mitigation may not be possible and agencies may only be able to offer palliative care for the aftermath.
While some emergencies are self-evident (such as a natural disaster that threatens many lives), many smaller incidents require that an observer (or affected party) decide whether it qualifies as an emergency. The precise definition of an emergency, the agencies involved and the procedures used, vary by jurisdiction, and this is usually set by the government, whose agencies (emergency services) are responsible for emergency planning and management.

Amazing price and cheapest anywhere online during the Presidents Day sale. Easy install, bluetooth works great, but limited range of 30ft or so. Glad to be protected now and can monitor amp usage from my phone instead of having to check a display inside my camper like other other companies offer. Thanks again!

Overall I really like this unit. It provides a very audible and visual acknowledgment when the unit is first plugged in. It also has an over amperage feature that acts as a software breaker than can be easily be reset from the app. The Bluetooth app is also very useful as one can determine the voltage and current at any given time. We used this app to determine what amperage is for each of the devices in our RV. I am only giving this unit 4 Stars as the app sends notifications when i get out range of the unit, which I do not like. I wish I could define specifically which notifications I want the unit to send so I only get the important ones.

Great price. Cheapest i have found. Very easy to install if you have any electrical experience not as easy if you don’t as there are no actual installation instructions. The app works great once you have it downloaded and paired. Make sure you pair it before you seal it into a wall or behind a cabinet as you MUST scan the QR code for it to pair. I took a picture of the QR code for any time i need to pair a new phone in the future. The white light is quite bright when it is working but i don’t worry because it is in a cabinet. Makes it easy to find things at night without turning on the lights and waking everyone.

This was easy to install. I can’t comment on how well it will do the job as I have not had an electrical protrection event yet. The bluetooth feature is convenient in that you can mount this in a hidden area where you can’t see the display and yet still get the info you need.

The conviniese of monitoring from your cell phone or iPad is plus also because was installed in the RV there is no worries about weather or be stoled.

Super well built, this surge protector should save your RV’s electrical system from damage due to surges, over voltage, and under voltage.

easy to install provided that you can access the wires to your RV panel but once you have accomplished that-easy peezee.
