A true reissue, we recreated every detail—including the true-to-the-era woven stainless-steel bracelet, functional battery hatch, rotating top ring, luminescent paint and ticking inside is a modern quartz movement.
For centuries, watchmaking was based around complex mechanical movements, but in the 1970s the introduction
of quartz watch movements began to revolutionize the industry. Unveiling its first quartz watch in 1972,
Timex designed approachable, highly accurate watches. By the end of the decade, quartz watches outpaced
mechanical watches, causing panic for traditional Swiss makers. This period in time is known as the “Quartz Crisis.”
We’ve recreated every detail, including the functional battery hatch,
of the original Timex Q Diver. All it takes is a coin-not a jeweler-
to open the hatch and replace the battery.

    A great watch that can be worn dressed up or down. I have a smaller wrist and the band was easy to adjust. The watch has a good weight to it, as well.
