A design is the concept of or proposal for an object, process, or system. The word design refers to something that is or has been intentionally created by a thinking agent, and is sometimes used to refer to the inherent nature of something – its design. The verb to design expresses the process of developing a design. In some cases, the direct construction of an object without an explicit prior plan may also be considered to be a design (such as in arts and crafts). A design is expected to have a purpose within a certain context, usually having to satisfy certain goals and constraints and to take into account aesthetic, functional, economic, environmental, or socio-political considerations. Traditional examples of designs include architectural and engineering drawings, circuit diagrams, sewing patterns, and less tangible artefacts such as business process models.

A sleeper is a person who is sleeping.

I have had this sofa-bed for over a year and am happy with it. It gets limited but not daily use. It is firm as a sofa and bed, which is my preference, and after sitting in a range of similarly priced and styled options, I thought it was the most comfortable. I agree that a topper is good idea for reducing the firmness when using it as a bed and a fitted sheet is a challenge, and it would be nice to have an option to address those aspects. I agree that the arms are a bit flimsy but I have not had issues like one reviewer. I have not had issues with sagging or the pull out mechanism (and I am not a slim person). Value-wise, I am happy with the purchase – style, comparative comfort, and reputable manufacturer. And I absolutely agree that the Georgetown DWR folks are great and helpful.

We have had this sofa for almost two years now and we love it! We live in a one bedroom apartment, but wanted a couch in our living room that could convert into a comfortable bed for 1-2 guests to sleep on. We just so happened to walk into DWR in Georgetown during a sale and found that this beautiful, sleek couch. Their customer service was incredible and we felt very taken care of throughout the whole ordering process. This couch can fit up to five people sitting on it (though usually, we don’t have more than 3-4). We love how easy it is to pull out the couch and push down the cushions to convert it into a double bed or a chaise lounge. To date, we’ve had several guests sleep on it and they’ve each told us it was a great night’s sleep. Look no further for an excellent, modern sofa that is able to serve multiple functions.

Great looking. Easy to open. Great sleeping area. But… it is extremely firm, far more firm than a firm mattress. You’ll want to plan to purchase a mattress topper so you can actually sleep on it. Also, the cushions fit very tightly so it’s very difficult (impossible) to use a fitted sheet or pad. I was surprised that DWR doesn’t sell an accompanying pad. It should.
