Bissell Inc., also known as Bissell Homecare, is an American privately owned vacuum cleaner and floor care product manufacturing corporation headquartered in Walker, Michigan in Greater Grand Rapids. The company is the number one manufacturer of floor care products in North America in terms of sales, with 20% marketshare.

A carpet is a textile floor covering typically consisting of an upper layer of pile attached to a backing. The pile was traditionally made from wool, but since the 20th century synthetic fibers such as polypropylene, nylon, or polyester have often been used, as these fibers are less expensive than wool. The pile usually consists of twisted tufts that are typically heat-treated to maintain their structure. The term carpet is often used in a similar context to the term rug, but rugs are typically considered to be smaller than a room and not attached to the floor.

Carpets are used for a variety of purposes, which includes insulating a person's feet from a cold tile or concrete floor, making a room more comfortable as a place to sit on the floor (e.g., when playing with children or as a prayer rug), reducing sound from walking (particularly in apartment buildings), and adding decoration or color to a room. Carpets can be made in any color by using differently dyed fibers. Carpets can have many different types of patterns and motifs used to decorate the surface. Carpets are used in industrial and commercial establishments such as retail stores and hotels and in private homes. Today, a huge range of carpets and rugs are available at many price and quality levels, ranging from inexpensive, synthetic carpets that are mass-produced in factories and used in commercial buildings to costly hand-knotted wool rugs that are used in private residences.

Carpets can be produced on a loom quite similarly to woven fabric, made using needle felts, knotted by hand (in oriental rugs), made with their pile injected into a backing material (called tufting), flatwoven, made by hooking wool or cotton through the meshes of a sturdy fabric, or embroidered. Carpet is commonly made in widths of 12 and 15 feet (3.7 and 4.6 m) in the US and 4 and 5 m (13 and 16 ft) in Europe. Since the 19th and 20th century, where necessary for wall-to-wall carpet, different widths of carpet can be seamed together with a seaming iron and seam tape (formerly it was sewn together) and fixed to a floor over a cushioned underlay (pad) using nails, tack strips (known in the UK as gripper rods), adhesives, or occasionally decorative metal stair rods. Wall-to-wall carpet is distinguished from rugs or mats, which are loose-laid floor coverings, as wall-to-wall carpet is fixed to the floor and covers a much larger area.

A cleaner, cleanser or cleaning operative is a type of industrial or domestic worker who is tasked with cleaning a space. A janitor (US and Canada), also known as a custodian, porter or caretaker, is a person who cleans and might also carry out maintenance and security duties. A similar position, but usually with more managerial duties and not including cleaning, is occupied by building superintendents in the United States and Canada and by site managers in schools in the United Kingdom.

According to the Cambridge English dictionary a "cleaner" is "a person whose job is to clean houses, offices, public places, etc.:"; the Collins dictionary states that: "A cleaner is someone who is employed to clean the rooms and furniture inside a building." However, a cleaner does not always have to be employed and perform work for pay, such as in the case of volunteer work or community service. "Cleaner" may also refer to cleaning agents e.g. oven cleaner, or devices used for cleaning, e.g. vacuum cleaner.

Cleaning operatives may specialize in cleaning particular things or places, such as window cleaners, housekeepers, janitors, crime scene cleaners and so on. Cleaning operatives often work when the people who otherwise occupy the space are not around. They may clean offices at night or houses during the workday.

Multi is a shortened form of "multiple". It may refer to:

  • Alternate character, in online gaming
  • Multi two diamonds, a contract bridge convention
  • Multirhyme, a synonym for feminine rhyme used in hip hop music
  • Multi (To Heart), a character from the visual novel and anime series To Heart
  • Multi-touch display

Rug or RUG may refer to:

  • Rug, or carpet, a textile floor covering
  • Rug, slang for a toupée
  • Ghent University (Rijksunversiteit Gent, or RUG)
  • Really Useful Group, or RUG, a company set up by Andrew Lloyd Webber
  • Rugby railway station, National Rail code RUG
  • University of Groningen (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen), or RUG

A surface, as the term is most generally used, is the outermost or uppermost layer of a physical object or space. It is the portion or region of the object that can first be perceived by an observer using the senses of sight and touch, and is the portion with which other materials first interact. The surface of an object is more than "a mere geometric solid", but is "filled with, spread over by, or suffused with perceivable qualities such as color and warmth".

The concept of surface has been abstracted and formalized in mathematics, specifically in geometry. Depending on the properties on which the emphasis is given, there are several non equivalent such formalizations, that are all called surface, sometimes with some qualifier, such as algebraic surface, smooth surface or fractal surface.

The concept of surface and its mathematical abstraction are both widely used in physics, engineering, computer graphics, and many other disciplines, primarily in representing the surfaces of physical objects. For example, in analyzing the aerodynamic properties of an airplane, the central consideration is the flow of air along its surface. The concept also raises certain philosophical questions—for example, how thick is the layer of atoms or molecules that can be considered part of the surface of an object (i.e., where does the "surface" end and the "interior" begin), and do objects really have a surface at all if, at the subatomic level, they never actually come in contact with other objects.

A system is a group of interacting or interrelated elements that act according to a set of rules to form a unified whole. A system, surrounded and influenced by its environment, is described by its boundaries, structure and purpose and is expressed in its functioning. Systems are the subjects of study of systems theory and other systems sciences.

Systems have several common properties and characteristics, including structure, function(s), behavior and interconnectivity.

Bissell products (I own steam & crossover) are superior to the crappy, overpriced, over rated Dyson. You’re paying $700 for a name with dyson — Bissell products work — not just a “pretty face”. My Bissell have proven to provide service over many years.

I use this machine to do spot cleaning after my dog messes and every few months I clean the entire rug. It is handy and works well. I am happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used Bissell Carpet Cleaners for many years. This one is our latest investment and it certainly does not disappoint. We have light carpet over 20 years old and every stain still comes out with our cleaner. The JetScrub is so light and easy to use it’s almost effortless. Although the scrub head is a bit smaller than the other ones, at 75 it’s the perfect weight for me to go around the carpets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have two rooms that Really Needed the carpets cleaned. In the living room, an area rug that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.. maybe, 25 years. Half of it was so dirty and discolored from being the half for foot traffic. It came clean very nicely, it can use another run but I am happy with how it came out, I’ve included pix of it. Now, the bedroom carpet is a bit different. The texture isn’t like the area rug. It made it harder to get it clean. I’m disappointed about this. I went through ALOT of cleanser in the bedroom and I hadn’t even gotten half way through it. It will definitely need a few more passes with the carpet cleaner to get it stain free. But it got the majority of it cleanish and the room smells and feels much cleaner. In both rooms it pulled the ground in animal hair, grime and dirty very well. There was tuffs of gross, slimy, hair balls. I really couldn’t believe how much! You definitely cannot get that out scrubbing by hand. Clean up was easy. Even with all the hair it pulled up, it didn’t really get embedded in the brush roll, which was nice. Any piece that needs to be rinsed after use pops right off and is simple to clean. I think I would have gone with a bigger and more powerful carpet cleaner, if we had more carpet in our house. Or if we had new carpets. Once the areas of high traffic are cleaned up to my liking, I think this carpet machine will be great for upkeep. For heavy duty jobs not so much. I also tried it on tile, it worked OK. It did pull a ton of black water out of the crack between my tile and door way. That was nice to see.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted something small and lightweight, I have w/w rugs on my 2nd fl and some area rugs on the 1st fl. My pet got sick and soiled the floor in my bedroom. I used the carpet cleaner and was so satisfied with how it scrubbed up the mess in no time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The system arrived intact and on time – very quickly. It’s easy enough to set up and use, if a little heavy. Everything I used worked well, and I am pleased. Sweepstakes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my dogs got sick with diarrhea I used this everyday for weeks. This machine stood up the challenge in a surprising way. I certainly didn’t expect it to work so well. I love that it was easy to clean after each use…everything came apart and went back together so easily. I hope don’t have to purchase a new one anytime soon but I would definitely be looking at this one.
