Most major events scheduled for 2020 that were postponed due to the pandemic were hosted in 2021, including the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, Expo 2020, and sporting events such as UEFA Euro 2020, the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, as well as the 2021 Copa América.
2021 additionally witnessed numerous advancements in space exploration, particularly by the United Arab Emirates, NASA and SpaceX, including the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope.
Civil unrest grew in 2021, with coups occurring in Sudan, Myanmar, Mali and Guinea, and insurrections occurring in Armenia and the United States.

this tv looks amazing, and does a great job in bright or dark rooms. upscaling is great, so 4k/1080p video content look great, though you do see artifacts with 720p/480p video. 4k/120 gaming is great too. blacks are truly black, hdr brights will make you squint.
the only downsides:
– expensive
– built-in streaming clients don’t support 8k content. this is particularly annoying since youtube is one of the few places to get 8k content currently, and i had to use my gaming pc to view it.
– hdmi-earc audio isn’t perfect. i don’t know whether the tv or the denon receiver is doing it wrong but just often enough to be annoying the surround sound stops going to the receiver and i have to fiddle with settings to get it back.
