We love the monitor and breathing wear! Would recommend to any family or friends. Only negative we’ve had so far is we decided we wanted the monitor stand to use with our bassinet in our room instead of the nursery and you can only buy on nanits website for a lot more than would have cost if we bought that bundle instead, just kicking ourselves for not planning better and buying with the bundle discount.

My husband and I recently moved out of a 1 bedroom apartment in the city into the suburbs (rough during COVID!). There, we never felt the need for a baby monitor as the crib was in the bedroom and one of us was working there during the day. After moving to the suburbs and having the space for a nursery, we searched for the perfect baby monitor and found Nanit. Now with the sleep monitoring and great camera quality, we feel like our baby is safe, healthy, and getting the sleep he needs to grow big and strong! It has brought us peace of mind as first time parents in a larger space. We have been telling all our pregnant friends they need a Nanit as well.

I knew before our son even arrived that I would be a little crazy about keeping him safe and secure so when I came across the Nanit camera system I was intrigued but the cost seemed steep. In the end, I gave in and bought it. I figured that if I got something like the sock pulse ox I would obsess too much and given how I watch his Nanit that is likely true. We did end up getting the dreaded alert that he wasn’t breathing. I’ll admit that I couldn’t review the footage myself for a few days because I was still so shaken at the thought that this precious little thing could have been taken from me. Once I did review the footage, it was clear that while breathing wasn’t evident just before I picked him up he kicked slightly. I’ve been a beta tester for years so almost out of habit I submitted it as a false alert and put it out of my mind. Within hours though, I’d gotten an email from Nanit support which was definitely not a form letter as it referenced the layout of our bassinet and his size (he’s a smaller guy). It also wasn’t harsh or rude but rather helpfully gave me some tips for making the system more accurate. I was floored because I don’t know I’ve seen that level of customer service in a long time. All this is to say that Nanit’s slogan of “Rest Easy” is one of the most paradoxical I’ve seen; no new parent can rest easy and yet Nanit gives you some of that peace of mind back.
